Hurricane Dennis has left the fate of the 26th annual Atmore Rotary Club Fiddler's Convention in air.
According to Rotarian Elsie Butler the event will be moved from its original location if it's held this Saturday. It was originally scheduled to be held in the Escambia County High School auditorium, but roof damage will force the event to be moved.
Butler said Rotary President Mary Helen Graham has called a meeting for noon today to determine if the event will be held this weekend. If so, the location will be announced on the Atmore Advance's website at www.atmoreadvance.com.
Additionally residents may call the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce at 368-3305 for information.
The Fiddler's Convention is a fundraising program for the Atmore Rotary Club. Funds raised help provide scholarships, which are awarded each year during the Academic All-Stars program.
