Cody Keene has repeatedly stated that he was looking for his Northview Chiefs to become more physical this season. Thus far, he seems to be pleased with the results.
The Chiefs began fall practice Monday afternoon, which were slightly dampened by afternoon thunderstorms but Keene felt were still productive.
Keene was especially impressed with the improvement of his varsity players, who he says are light-years ahead of where they were last season.
The Chiefs will begin work in full pads Thursday afternoon. Keene said he was very much looking forward to full contact.
Northview will open the season at home on August 26 when they take on Bozeman High School.
Keene said that while there was a lot of work to do, there was plenty to be proud of this team about so far.
