Darryl A. Bankston
DAVISVILLE – Mr. Darryl A. Bankston, 45, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005 at a Santa Rosa County Hospital.
Mr. Bankston was a native of Century, Fla and a resident of Davisville, Fla for the past nine years. He was a former employee for Simmons Ambulance Company in Monroeville, a trucker for Bankston Trucking, a member of Poplar Dell Baptist Church and was an inspiration to all who knew him by his loving attitude for life.
Survivors include: his wife, Glenda Bankston of Davisville, Fla; his mother, Jessie Martin of Milton, Fla.; his father and stepmother, Dillard and Rochelle Bankston of Century, Fla.; a stepson, Jonathon Adams of Pensacola, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Stella Harrelson of Davisville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Michaela Harrelson, Michael Harrelson and Myles Harrelson all of Davisville, Fla.; his sister, Lajuana (James) Jacobs of Gun Barrel City, Texas; three step brothers, Bill Macks, Danny Macks and Sam Macks, all of Century, Fla.; two step sisters, Shelia Bryan of Bratt, Fla. and Robbie Hammac of Century, Fla.; a niece, Melissa Jacobs of Gun Barrell City, Texas; and a nephew, Michael Jacobs of Gun Barrel City, Texas.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005 at 10 a.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Sonny Willingham and Rev. Marcus Caraway officiating. Burial followed at Poplar Dell Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dwayne Conrad, Keith Davis, Chad Cook, Barnie Jones, Aaron Smith and Buster Nall. Honorary Pallbearer was Chris Campbell. Alternate pallbearers were be Tim Jones and Brad Wilcoxon.
Mr. Jimmy Ollie Boutwell
FLOMATON – Mr. Jimmy Ollie Boutwell, 66, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2005 in Flomaton. Mr. Boutwell was a native and lifetime resident of Flomaton. He was an employee of Fore Sand and Gravel in Flomaton and attended the Baptist Church.
A son, Colin Dean Boutwell, preceded him in death his parents, J. D. and Ora Jean Boutwell and three brothers, Herman Boutwell, J. L. Boutwell and Chester Boutwell.
Survivors include: his wife, Nancy Boutwell of Flomaton; five sons, Stanley Boutwell of Flomaton, Jimmy Boutwell of Flomaton, Randy Boutwell of Poarch, Todd Boutwell of Flomaton, and Shawn Boutwell of Evergreen; two daughters, Vicki Wright and Candace Wright of East Brewton; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four brothers, Floyd Boutwell of Lottie, Alvoid Boutwell of McCullough, Coy Boutwell of Flomaton, and Buddy Boutwell of Perdido; four sisters, Beatrice Emmons of Flomaton, Marie McMillan of East Brewton, Hazel Walston of Byrneville, and Melba Lambert of Atmore.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005 at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Traveler's Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ricky Harrelson, Judson Carden, Michael Cosey, John Money, Gerald Hudson and Jim Wright. Alternate Pallbearers were Stevie Emmons and Stanley Boutwell, II.
Johnnie Lee Hooks
ATMORE – Mr. Johnnie Lee Hooks died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005 at his residence.
Mr. Hooks was born on Jan. 15, 1950 to the late Sam and Maggie Hooks of Wilcox County, Camden, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Maggie Pettway Hooks McNeil, father, Sam Hooks, stepfather, Albert McNeil, and a nephew, Clarence Edward Hooks.
He is survived by: three brothers, McArthur (Brenda) Hooks of Westbury, N.Y., Ike (Betty) Hooks and Robert (Ella) of Atmore; five sisters, Lula Mae Brown, Cathy Marie Hooks of Westbury, N.Y., Ida (James) Williams and Mary Ann Ferrell of Atmore, Clasy Stallworth of Gulfport, Ms.; a great aunt, Shady Coleman of Camden; four uncles, Nimrod Jones of Pensacola, Fla., Evan Hawthorne of Century, Fla., Sip (Catherine) Pettway of Mobile, Sandy Pettway of Camden; five aunts, Alice Hooks Savage of Pensacola, Fla., Frances Pettway of Camden; five aunts, Alice Hooks Savage, Pensacola, Fla., Francis Pettway of Camden, Lula Grimes of Atmore, Adella (George) Young of Mobile and Lorene Pettway of Hempstead, N.Y. and two special friends, Richard Allen Williams and Vincent Simmons of Atmore and a very special niece, Darianna Seltzer; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held Friday, Oct. 14, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Christian Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Atmore. Burial followed at Stallworth Cemetery in Atmore. Christian Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
