Ruby Kelly
ATMORE – Ms. Ruby Kelly, 49 of Atmore died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005 at Atmore Community Hospital.
She was a native of Chicago, Ill., but was a resident of Atmore for many years. Mrs. Hal was a member of Gaines Chapel AME Church in Atmore.
Her father and mother, John and Margaret Kelly and a brother, John Kelly, precede her in death.
She is survived by her son, Demetrious L. Kelly of Atmore; and four sisters, Annie R. Kelly of Atmore, Pauline (Calvin) Lee, Doris Kelly, and Patricia Kelly all of Chicago, Ill.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005 at Gaines Chapel A. M. E. Church in Atmore with the Rev. Williams officiating. Burial followed in Stallworth Cemetery. Turner Funeral Chapel was in charge of all arrangements.
Thomas Wallace Neal
MCDAVID – Mr. Thomas Wallace Neal, 74, passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 at a Pensacola hospital.
Mr. Neal was a native of Pelham, S. C. and a resident of McDavid, Fla., for the past 50 years. He was a deacon for Ray's Chapel Baptist Church, a driver for GFA Trucking Company and Suttles Trucking Company and was preceded in death by a brother, J. C. Neal and a sister, Geneva Hammond.
Survivors include: his wife of 50 years, Voncile Neal of McDavid, Fl., two daughters, Renee and Tony Simpson of McDavid, Fla., and Tina and Mark Digmon of McDavid, Fla., five grandchildren, Kyle Simpson, Jared Simpson, Hayley Simpson, Ashley Digmon and Morgan Digmon; two brothers, Rev. Carl and Betty Neal of Gray Court, S. C., and Clarence and Virginia Neal of Greer, S.C.; brother-in-law, Carl "Boots" Hammond of Taylors, S. C.; and two sisters, Mildred and Rayford Smith of Greer, S. C., and Juanita Johnson of Inman, S. C.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Ray's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Fil Enfinger and Rev. Joe Digmon officiating. Burial will follow at Ray's Chapel Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers are: Daniel Leonard, David Preston, Mike Digmon, Don Grant, Robert Myrick and Jarrod Brown. Honorary pallbearers are the Men's Senior Adult Sunday School Class from Ray's Chapel Baptist Church.
Alice Nell Hall
PERDIDO – Mrs. Alice Nell Hall, 74 of Perdido, died Wednesday, Nov.16, 2005 in Atmore. She was the owner of Preston Hall Grocery, born in Escambia County, Enon, Fla., on April 13, 1931 to the late Charles and Ruby Odom Jackson.
Her husband, Preston Hall, a son, Tommy Leon Hall and three brothers precede her in death.
Survivors are: two sons, Rayford Hall and wife, Sheryll of Mobile; Clifford E. Hall and wife, Bettie of Perdido; one daughter, Jennie Oliver and husband, Ronald of Perdido; two brothers, Julius Franklin Jackson of Stapleton, Edward Jackson of Defuniak Springs, Fla.: one sister, Vera Pearl Alford of Perdido; three grandchildren, Angie Cowart, Tommy Harrelson, and C. P. Hall; two step-grandchildren, Robbin Lee and Michael Reno; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 18, 2005 from Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Wendell Hadley, Sister Theisa Long and Bro. Malcom Harrelson officiating. Interment followed in the Lottie Methodist Cemetery.
Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
Joe Morgan
CENTURY – Mr. Joe Morgan, 73 of Century died on Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 at Jay Hospital. Services will be announced by the Turner Funeral Chapel.
