Manholes in the city of Atmore beware, Slaughter Construction is on the prowl.
Foreman Isaac Rolin and his crew are repairing many of the city's manholes and will be for the next six months.
"We are rehabbing the manholes in the city," Rolin said. "And what we are doing is putting new concrete liners in the manholes, which keeps the outside water from getting in and does not let the sewer water go out."
Slaughter Construction out of Gulf Shores bid for the contract and won the bidding process. They started relining the manholes Monday and Rolin said he estimates the project will be completed in six months.
Rolin has a crew of five working with him and he said they are happy to help the city of Atmore. Other members of the crew include, Jonathan Rolin, Wayne Johnson, Heath Smith, Dennis Lawson and Christopher Long.
