Dirt bikes and Ford Mustangs don't have much in common, if you don't count that they both need an engine to run, but these two different kinds of automobile will collide this weekend at the Atmore Motocross Track.
As track owners Bobby and Shane Hadley await the March 18 race they will have some extra vehicles on the premises.
"We will put up a tent and we will show off some of our vehicles at the race," Jim Johnson Ford office manager Missy Ordis said. "We will also have all kind of goodies for the kids."
Besides the car show and the goody bags, Johnson Ford will auction off a gas grill at their tent. To register to win the grill, race enthusiasts can drop by the Johnson Ford tent.
Jim Johnson, owner of Jim Johnson Ford, said he is happy to get involved with the motocross track.
"It is such an interesting sport and anything that boosts the quality of life in Atmore is something we like to be a part of," he said.
Ordis' interest in the motor track and Hadley's business with Johnson Ford sparked Johnson's interest to become involved with the sport.
"We are excited to be there and take part in such an interesting event," Johnson said.
Other sponsors for the March 18 race will be, Pensacola Motor Sports, Kenny Motor Sports in Brewton, Mobile Shoe Hospital, Faith Ministries, Hall's Motor Sports in Mobile, A&B Cycle in Mobile, Fly Racing and Kelley's Ambulance Service.
