Fred Lee McGhee
ATMORE – Mr. Fred Lee McGhee, age 56, of Atmore, Ala. died Thursday, May 18, 2006 at a Mobile Hospital. Mr. McGhee was Tribal Chairman for the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
Born Sept. 8, 1949 to Levi and Treacy Ella McGhee. His parents; one brother, Leo McGhee; three sisters, Imogene Sheets, Carlie Dairymple and Donna McGhee White preceded him in death.
Survivors include, three sons, Greg McGhee (Susan) of Atmore, Joey McGhee (Christine) of Pensacola, Fla. and Fred Lee McGhee Jr. of Pensacola, Fla.; two daughters, Tracy McGhee of Atmore and Cierra McGhee of Atmore; eight sisters, Martha Wilson of Atmore, Helen Hallman of Atmore, Deloris Kelley (Jerry) of Atmore, Velma Crocker of Atmore, Eldnar McGhee (Shirley) of Atmore, Myrtis Kinman (David) of Atmore, Judy McGhee of Atmore and Eva Nell Burkett of Atmore; four grandchildren, Dustin and Dylan McGhee, Chasity McGhee and Kaylee Davidson; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Jennifer Lucas, Stephanie Ledkins, Ernestine Browning and Francis Walters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Harlan Morgan and the Rev. C.E. Pylant officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery in Poarch.
Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Scott Jackson, Ryan Exum, Steven McGhee, Derrick McGhee, Christopher Allison and Arthur Mothershed. Honorary pallbearers will be the Tribal Council, Buford Rolin, Patricia Hodges, Daniel McGhee, Robert McGhee, Rodney Exum, Eddie Tullis, Helen Hallman and Arthur Mothershed.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Poarch Creek Indians at 5811 Jack Springs Road, Atmore, Ala. 36502 in memory of Fred McGhee.
Emma Ilda Mae Presley Reed
WALNUT HILL, FLA. – Mrs. Emma Ilda Mae Presley Reed, of Walnut Hill, Fla., died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 in Jay, Fla. She was a homemaker, born in Perdido on May 2, 1921 to the late Ervin and Vera Parker Presley.
Survivors are: her husband, James B. Reed of Walnut Hill, Fla.; four sons, Douglas Lambert and wife, Nelly, Donald Lambert and wife, Judy all of Atmore, John Reed and wife, Donna of Crosby, Texas, James Reed and wife, Sheila of Walnut Hill, Fla; five daughters, Gaynell Vaughn of Arab, Wanda Vowels and husband, Kerry of New Caney, Texas, Helen Burkett and husband Buddy of Jay, Fla., Viola Conn of Arab, Lagatha Lilly and husband, George of New Caney, Texas; thirty-three grandchildren, sixty-three great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, May 19, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gladyn Mothershed officiating. Interment followed in Dry Springs Cemetery in Enon, Fla.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
Chris Lee
FLOMATON – Chris Lee, age 48 of Flomaton, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 from injuries received in an automobile accident. Chris was a member of McDavid United Methodist Church. He was the manager of Taco Bell in Brewton.
His mother, Nancy Janette Lee; his father and stepmother, Carl H. and Shelia Lee; four sisters, Tammy Williams, Renee Hullett, Beth Phillips and Stephanie Daw and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends survive Chris.
Funeral services were held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North in Cantonment, Fla., on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert Gandy officiating. Burial followed at Rays Chapel.
Pallbearers were Zackery Carter, Bert Williams, Kirby Hullett, Joey Johnson, Shane Johnson, Shawn Johnson and Robbie Lee.
Faith Chapel Funeral Home North was in charge of all arrangements.
Keith Lushawn Stallworth
McCULLOUGH – Mr. Keith Lushawn Stallworth, age 28 of McCullough, died Monday, May 15, 2006 at his residence. Services to be announced by Turner Funeral Chapel.
