The Escambia County Commission will conduct a regular session on Monday, June 12 at 9 a.m. in the County Commission Chambers, room 201 at the Escambia County Court House in Brewton.
The administrative workshop will be held on Thursday, June 8 at 9 a.m.
VFW Flag disposal
ceremony June 15
A Flag disposal ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 15 at 7 p.m. at the Atmore VFW Post Veterans from Atmore American Legion Post 90 and Atmore VFW Post 7016, will conduct the ceremony, assisted by Atmore Boy and Girl Scouts and Cadets from the JROTC units at Escambia County High School and Northview High School.
Anyone who has a torn, tattered and unusable American flag and wants them destroyed properly, are encouraged to place the flags in the boxes located outside the American Legion building and the VFW building prior to June 15. In addition, everyone is invited to the ceremony to see firsthand the proper manner in which American flags are destroyed.
Remember, we fly our American Flag proudly, we honor it and we destroy it properly when it becomes unusable.
MCC VBS slated for June 19-23
McCullough Christian Center will be having "The Incredible Race" Vacation Bible School June 19-23 from 6 to 9 p.m. for ages 3 years old to sixth grade.

"Fiesta" VBS to begin at FBC
First Baptist Church of Atmore will be having Vacation Bible School from June 19-June 23 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Plant and Seed swap August 12
A plant and seed swap event will be held Aug. 12 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Davisville Community Center. Call 327-4280 for more information.
Diabetic group
to meet June 20
A Diabetic education group meeting will be held Tuesday, June 20 in the Atmore Community Hospital auditorium at 6 p.m. Dr. Jonah McIntyre will present the free session entitled "Just for You".
Beulah camp meeting June 8-June 18
Beulah Camp Meeting will be held June 8- June 18. Services will begin Thursday, June 8 at 7 p.m and will continue with a daily schedule through Sunday evening, June 18.
Evangelists are Eldon Neihof and Marlin Hotle. Dale Dorothy will teach a Bible class each morning. Ken Osborne is the song evangelist with Laura Lee Adams as the youth coordinator.
Beulah camp is located one and one-fourth mile south of U.S. Highway 84, on Monroe County Road 37 between Repton and Excel.
American Red Cross blood drive June 15
The American Red Cross will be hosting many public drives over the coming weeks in an effort to bolster the the blood supply for the summer months: June 15: Atmore City Hall, 201 E. Louisville Avenue (2 p.m. until 6 p.m.)
