Marvin W. Mason Jr.
ATMORE – Mr. Marvin W. Mason Jr., 59, of Atmore died Friday July 14, 2006 in Pensacola.
Mr. Mason was born in Atmore on Jan. 4, 1947 to the late Marvin Mason Sr. and Alda Mae Whidbee Mason. He was a correctional officer with Holman Prison.
Five brothers precede him in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Glenda Manning Mason; son, Brian Mason; three daughters, Janet Jarrell, Tracey Slate and Careesa Mason; four sisters, Frances Cain, Louise Jones, Clara Payne and Dorothy Rhoades all of Atmore and four grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. C.L. Langford and Bro. Larry Davis officiating. Interment followed in Serenity Gardens.
Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on July 17, 2006 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Irene Boutwell Hadley
FLOMATON – Mrs. Irene Boutwell Hadley, 63, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2006 in Flomaton.
Mrs. Hadley was a native and lifelong resident of Flomaton. She was an employee of Judy Bond for 29 years, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and attended the Protestant Church.
Survivors include, her lifelong companion, Miles Franklin of Brewton; her son, Norman Gregory and Tonya Hadley of Flomaton; her daughter, Janet and Jerry Blackburn of McCullough; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and two sisters, Inola Driver of Century, Fla. and Dorothy Bondurant of Flomaton.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernie Cawby officiating.
Pallbearers were Tory Boutwell, Jason Williams, Phillip Fullerton, Daniel White, Adam Hadley and Michael Hadley. Burial followed at Traveler's Rest Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on July 17, 2006 at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
London Destinee Thomas
PENSACOLA, FLA. – Infant London Destinee Thomas, one month, of Pensacola, Fla. passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
She is survived by her mother, Erica Laflair of Pensacola; father, Llewellyn Thomas of Pensacola; two sisters, India Laflair and Llenia Thomas, both of Pensacola; two brothers, Zjon Laflair and Jayden Laflair both of Pensacola; grandparents, Amelia and Luther White of Pensacola and Teresa Grems of Pensacola; great grandfather and Devie Milton of Pensacola.
Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Stallworth Cemetery in Atmore. Burial followed in Stallworth Cemetery.
