Change is in the winds for the Atmore Pee Wee Football League in 2006. The league will be competing against teams from the Northwest Escambia Football League, Century league and Flomaton league as the season begins.
Before the season begins, there must be registration and that day is soon. On Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon parents can register their children in the league at the Atmore City Hall auditorium.
The age groups will be ages 6-8, ages 9-10 and ages 11-12.
For the past couple years the league has been involved with the bi-county league of Conecuh and Butler counties.
Murray Johnson, president of the Atmore Pee Wee Football League, said the specifics on when and where will be ironed out when the four leagues meet sometime at the end of July or in August.
