Collie Roan Sharpless
PENSACOLA – Mrs. Collie Roan Sharpless, 101 of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Atmore died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006 in Pensacola, Fla.
She was a graduate of Montevallo and taught school for 10 years, then later named and owned the Sweet Shop in Atmore. She was a current member of First Baptist Church of Atmore.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Sharpless, one brother, James Roan; four sisters, Annie R. Price, Ruth R. Deal, Nana Tompkins and Katie Foshee.
Survivors are: two nephews, L.W. Price of Evergreen and James H. Roan of New Orleans, La.; two nieces, Dorothy R. Poe, Denver, Colo., and Elizabeth D. Mason of Duluth, Ga.
Graveside services will be held today, Aug. 9, 2006 at 10 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Arnold Hendrix officiating.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
