New Home Church offers "clean" fun
The New Home Church in Monroeville will hold a gospel concert. "The Jeff Treece Band" of Knoxville, Tenn., along with "Grateful Heart" of Monroeville, will be in concert at the New Home Church near Monroeville Aug. 26 at 7 p.m.
There will be no charge for admission, but a love offering will be received. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy an evening of good, clean entertainment. New Home Church is located between Repton and Monroeville just north of U.S. Highway 84 E. For more information call Rev. Kenneth Johnson ant 251-575-2524.
Donations needed at Christian Care
Atmore Area Christian Care gave 65 people food last week. They are in need of the following items: spaghetti and any other form of pasta, macaroni and cheese, canned yams, self-rising flour, self-rising meal, rice, chicken and dumplings, pork and beans and crackers.
CFAHEC meeting planned for Aug. 24
The Coalition for a Healthier Escambia County will hold a meeting Aug. 24 at noon at the Atmore Community Hospital.
Tammy Graham from the Atmore YMCA and Linda Parsons from the Atmore Young Life Program will be guest speakers
A light meal will be served and important programmatic updates will be announced.
New Home Church to hold revival
New Home Apostolic Church at 1209 Poarch Road, will hold a revival Aug. 25-26 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Speaker and musician will be Rev. Cortt Chavis.
Sign up for Red Cross classes
Anyone interested in taking Red Cross courses please call 368-3643 from 9:15 a.m. until noon Monday through Friday. We will have a class on Aug. 25, if enrollment is met.
County Commission meeting changed
Please take notice that the Escambia County Commission will conduct an adjourned regular session Aug. 28 at 9 a.m. in the County Commission chambers, room 201 at the Escambia County Courthouse in Brewton. The Administrative workshop has been rescheduled from Aug. 24 to Aug. 25 at 9 a.m.
Gospel singing at Bryant Chapel
