Atmore woman killed in accident
A local woman, Walteena Lynette Leslie, died Tuesday, Aug. 22 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Hwy. 21 that day.

Panic relief comes to Atmore Monday
Panic Relief, Inc., is forming a group in Atmore that will be held at noon each Monday and from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday.
Panic Relief, Inc., is a non-profit educational organization that is geared to helping anyone suffering from panic, anxiety and agoraphobia to cope with these disorders.
The class will teach you how to control panic attacks and anticipatory anxiety and will also teach you how attitudes and current thoughts affect panic and anxiety.

Community Action to meet Aug. 24
Community Action Agency of Baldwin, Escambia, Clarke, Monroe and Conecuh Counties will have a board of director's meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24 at the Central Office located at 26440 North Pollard Road in Daphne.
Donations needed at Christian Care
The Atmore Area Christian Care Ministry gave food to 51 people last week. The following food items are needed to restock the pantry: chicken and dumplings, pork and beans, self rising flour, self rising meal, canned tomatoes, canned yams, canned potatoes and tuna fish.
The Atmore Area Christian Care Ministry is located behind the Atmore Post Office. Drop-off times are 9 a.m. until noon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Classical pianist Dino to perform
Dino, a christian classical concert pianist from Branson, Mo., and Trinity Broadcasting Network will be in concert Sept. 7 at L.D. Owen Performing Arts Center at Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minette.
The concert is being presented by North Baldwin Community Concerts. Tickets are $15.
Musical groups to appear at New Life
"Grateful Heart", "True Song" and "Southern Gospel Believers" will be in concert at the New Home Church near Monroeville at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2.
The descendants of the late Marion and Martha Ann Kilpatrick are meeting there Saturday and Sunday for a two-day event.
