Huxford Elementary carnival Oct. 5
Huxford Elementary School will hold it "Old Time Fall Carnival" from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m on Thursday, Oct. 5 at the school.
Tickets will go on sale Monday, Oct. 2 and are five for $1. Tickets will be four for $1 after 10 a.m. the day of the carnival.
Grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza popcorn, nachos and cheese, cotton candy and candied apples will be available for purchase. Games include a cake walk, Pepsi toss, dunking booth and much more. There will also be hay rides and a country store.
Batt Elementary in need of decorations
Bratt Elementary School's Fall Fest will be held Oct. 27 and the school is in need of decorations.
If you know of anywhere the school could find pumpkins, hay bales, Indian corn, gourds or scarecrows please call the school at 327-6137
Everything can be returned to the lender Friday night after Fall Fest or Saturday morning.
Commission will meet Monday
The Escambia County Commission will conduct an adjourned regular session at 9 a.m. on Sept. 25 in the County Commission Chambers, room 201 at the Escambia County Courthouse in Brewton.
ADRT raising funds to buy generator
The Atmore Disaster Response Team (ADRT) is seeking donations to purchase a generator to be used in Atmore at evacuation shelters.

Lassiter and Wall reunion Oct. 7
The Lassiter and Wall reunion will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Oct. 7 at the Poarch Band of Creek Indians' Tribal Auditorium.

Relatives of Bell family sought
Our Fall Fest at Bratt Elementary is October 27. We need decorations. If you know of anywhere we could find pumpkins, hay bales, Indian corn, gourds, scarecrows, etc., please let me know. We will need plenty.
Everything can be returned to the lender.
Mt. Olive MPC to host banquet
Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church will hold an annual pastor's banquet Friday at 7 p.m. The banquet is at the Head Start Center at 115 School St. in Freemanville.
