Girl Talk begins next week on WNSI
Girl Talk takes the airwaves on Oct.4 on WNSI FM 105.9. It will air each Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m.
Huxford Elementary carnival Oct. 5
Huxford Elementary School will hold it "Old Time Fall Carnival" from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m on Thursday, Oct. 5 at the school.
Tickets will go on sale Monday, Oct. 2 and are five for $1. Tickets will be four for $1 after 10 a.m. the day of the carnival.
Grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza popcorn, nachos and cheese, cotton candy and candied apples will be available for purchase. Games include a cake walk, Pepsi toss, dunking booth and much more. There will also be hay rides and a country store.
ACH jewelry sale begins Oct. 19
The Atmore Community Hospital Auxiliary will hold a jewelry sale Oct. 19-20 from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day at the Atmore Community Hospital. Get anything for $5 and cash, checks or credit cards are accepted.
Perdido Baptist homecoming
Perdido Baptist Church will have Homecoming on Oct. 1.
Dr. Glenn Weekly from Hendersonville, Tennessee will be the guest speaker. Sunday school will be at 9:30 and worship service will be at 10:30 with lunch following.
Bratt Elementary in need of decorations
Bratt Elementary School's Fall Fest will be held Oct. 27 and the school is in need of decorations.
If you know of anywhere the school could find pumpkins, hay bales, Indian corn, gourds or scarecrows please call the school at 327-6137
Everything can be returned to the lender Friday night after Fall Fest or Saturday morning.
Lassiter and Wall reunion Oct. 7
The Lassiter and Wall reunion will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Oct. 7 at the Poarch Band of Creek Indians' Tribal Auditorium.

Nokomis VFD auction Oct. 14
The Nokomis Volunteer Fire Department will be sponsoring their Annual Auction Fundraiser on Oct. 14 starting at 5pm at the fire station located at 163 James Rd. Everyone is invited to come out and support this fundraiser. Also, there will be refreshments for sale.
