Dear Editor,
Thank you so much for the wonderful coverage Turtle Point Science Center received prior to and after, Celebrate the Environment Day, 2006. Your paper has always helped educate the public about the center over the years, and the staff and I can't thank you enough.
We would like to invite the public to visit the center and see the new addition during a special Open House on December 7, 2006 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Our gift shop will be open that day for Christmas shopping. The proceeds from the Turtle Point Gift Shop help to feed our animals.
The Staff and I would like to thank students from all the high schools in our area and their sponsors, as well as Jefferson Davis Community College volunteers and Dr. Latitia McCane; the W.T. Neal Trust; D.W. McMillan Trust; Alabama Power Company; The Town of Flomaton; The Escambia County Board of Education Maintenance Department headed by Mr. Raymond Beasley; The Escambia County Board of Education; Superintendent Billy Hines; and Hines Construction.
