Tonya Gwenette Barrow
FLOMATON – Mrs. Tonya Gwenette Barrow, 42, passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006 in Flomaton.
Barrow was a native of Bratt, Fla., a resident of Holman Trailer Park Community for 20 years, and a resident of Flomaton for the past three years. She attended the Jehovah's Witness Church and was preceded in death by her father, Mardic Eddins.
Survivors include, her husband, Don Barrow of Flomaton; her son, Ronald Adam and Tasha Barrow of Flomaton; her granddaughter, Savannah Renea Barrow of Flomaton; her mother, Lois Freeman of Jay, Fla.; two brothers, Liston Eddins of Montgomery and Mardic Eddins, Jr. of Century, Fla. and a sister, Peggy Moye of Chumuckla.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. William Chandler officiating.
Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery.
Visitation was held Monday, Nov. 6, 2006 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ronald Adam Barrow, Tracy Tedder, Joe Lowery, Wilson Barrow, Mardic Eddins and Brent Eddins.
Evelyn Lanier Cotton
ATMORE – Mrs. Evelyn Lanier Cotton, 93, of Atmore died on Nov. 4, 2006. Mrs. Cotton was born to John and Minnie Cotton on June 6, 1913 in Damascus in Escambia County. Mrs. Cotton worked at the Vanity Fair Mills as an examiner. She was preceded in death by her husband, King David Cotton.
Survivors include, four sons, John David Cotton of Atmore, Robert Young Cotton of Atmore, Harlon Gene Cotton of Atmore Stacey Wilburn Cotton of Covington, Ga.; three daughters, Mary Marjorie Troutman of Atmore, Margaret Ann Beasley of Davisville, Fla., Linda C. Helton of Atmore. Funeral services were held Monday at 2p.m. at the Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Randolph and Bro. Robert Cotton and Bro. Gladen Gibson officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery. Family received friends on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006 at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home from 6p.m. until 8p.m. Pallbearers were Ricky Troutman, J.D. Cotton, David Edmiston, Stacey Cotton, Ben Daniel, Les Cruit. Honorary pallbearers were Lance Blackburn, Gary Bousier, Harold O'glesby, Gene O'Farrell, Ronnie Berry and Sammy Berry.

Elvin Bobby Marvin Garrett
ATMORE- Mr. Elvin Bobby Marvin Garrett, Jr., 61, of Atmore died on Nov. 4, 2006. Mr. Garrett was born to Alvin Sr. and Jewel Norwood Garrett on Jan. 14, 1945. He was retired from the United States Air Force.
Survivors include, his wife, Patricia Ann Garrett; three daughters, Tracy and Jerry Stuckey of McDavid, Fla., Ann Lambeth of Perdido, Belinda and Shawn Barnhill of Atmore; two brothers, Mike and Susan Garrett of Milton, Fla. and Johnny Edison; three sisters, June and Vernon Phillips of Walnut Hill, Fla., Charlene and Bob Deitcher of Crestview, Fla., Linda and Tony Hawthorne of Pensacola, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Heather Lambeth, Christine Thompson, Jennifer Thompson, Cody Stuckey, Sherrie Stuckey, Jessica Barnhill, Christopher Barnhill, Jordan Barnhill, Cameron Barnhill and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Otkein officiating. Burial will follow at the Canoe Freewill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006 at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Vianna Elizabeth Johnson
ATMORE – Mrs. Vianna Elizabeth Johnson, 96, of Atmore died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006. Born to Sidney and Mattie Chambless on June 2, 1910, Mrs. Johnson worked at the Decatur City School in the lunch room. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Decatur and has been a resident of Atmore for 26 years and a member of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church in Atmore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Johnson, Sr.; one son, Willard Johnson, Jr. "Poodlum".
Survivors include, three sons, William Amos Johnson of Demopolis, Bobby Joel Johnson of Mobile and Billy Glenn (Elaine) Johnson of Decatur; four daughters, Doris Johnson Steadham of Foley, Loyce and Weldie Donald of Atmore, Joyce and Peter Thompson of Washington Crossing, Pa., Laura and Greg Napps of Florence; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 6, 2006 at Brooks Memorial Baptist Church in Atmore at 11 a.m. with Bro. Mike Grindal officiating. Mrs. Johnson laid instate at the church one hour prior to service time. Burial followed at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Johnson, Mike Johnson, Gary Johnson, Carl Johnson, Brandon Napps and Perry Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Rebekah Sunday School Class. The family received friends on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006 from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Lillie Bell Madison
ATMORE – Mrs. Lillie Bell Madison, 97, of Atmore died on Nov. 5, 2006 at Atmore Nursing Center. Mrs. Madison was a seamstress and a member of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church in Atmore. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Her Christian life, generous spirit touched the lives of so many people throughout her life of 97 years. Her life will be remembered and celebrated by the gathering of family and friends at wake and funeral.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Samuel Madison; one daughter, Grace Dees and one son, Austin Madison.
Survivors include, one son, James and Beverly Madison of Atmore; three daughters, Nell Ward of Birmingham, Shirley and Dick Gordy of Chapel Hill, N.C., Catherine Knight of Raliegh, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Brooks Memorial Baptist Church in Atmore with the Rev. Mike Grindle officiating. Burial followed at Semirah Springs Cemetery in Monroe County.
The family received friends on Monday, Nov. 6, 2006 at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Pallbearers were Jon Dees, John Gordy, Micheal Gordy, James Madison, Jason Madison, Warren Mosley, Ben Consuegra, R.J. Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Rebekah Sunday School Class.

L.D. Gunn
BRATT, Fla. – Mr. L.D. Gunn, 83, passed away Monday, Nov. 6, 2006 at a local hospital.
Mr. Gunn was a native of DeFuniak, Fla. and a resident of Bratt, Fla. since 1978. He was a Veteran of WWII, attended the Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Belle Gunn, and a daughter, Ann Elizabeth Gunn.
Survivors include, two sons, Ramon and Carol Gunn of Cantonment, Fla. and Larry and Charlotte Gunn of Enon, Fla.; his daughter, Jean and John Payne of Bratt, Fla.; ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Chester and Gracie Mae Gunn of Bratt, Fla. and Kelley and Carlie Mae Gunn of Bratt, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Geri Gunn of Atmore; and his dog, Peanut.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006 at 2p.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. J.D. Renfroe officiating.
Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Audrey Diane Powell
ATMORE – Mrs. Audrey Diane Powell, 51, of Atmore died on Nov. 4, 2006 at her residence.
Mrs. Powell was born on June 21, 1955 to Roy and Audrey Slay.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Melinda Lambert.
Survivors include, her husband, Lynn E. Powell; one son, Michael Lambert of Brewton; one daughter, Tracy Capps of Walnut Hill, Fla. and one brother, Randy Slay of Mobile.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006 at 11 a.m. from Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. John Hammond officiating. Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
The family received friends on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006 at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
