It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Poarch, as the various Tribal offices are putting the finishing touches on their floats for the annual Christmas parade.
The parade, centered on a Christmas at the Movies theme, is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1.
According to a Tribal media specialist, more than 10 floats have already signed up for the Twilight parade.
"Everybody is busy working on their floats," the specialist said. "Each group is keeping their float theme a secret until the night of the parade. So far all of the plans are going smoothly."
The floats will be judged prior to the parade during the pre-parade line-up that will begin at 4 p.m. at Building number 300 in the Tribal offices.
Floats that place in first, second and third place of the Tribal parade will also enter their float in the Atmore Twilight Christmas Parade held the following night in Atmore.
Santa Claus will make an appearance on the last float of the parade to conclude the night's festivities.
The parade will begin at 5 p.m. at Building number 300, traveling through Willow Creek onto Martin Road, then turning right on Green Road, left on Lynn McGhee Road and ending at the gym.
