The Atmore Police Department responded to an attempted robbery call Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. from Express Check Advance located on Lindberg Avenue.
According to the employee who was present at the time of the incident, she had just locked their doors to the business when a male walked up and began shaking the doors.
When he was unable to gain entry into the business he ran behind the building and fled prior to the officers arrival.
The employee described the individual has being dressed in dark clothing with some type of mask covering his face.
APD investigators are asking for anyone with information about this case to contact the department at 251-368-9141
