The first weekend of December was a festive occasion for residents of Atmore and the surrounding area.
In addition to two Christmas Parades, the Grand Ole Dames Garden Club hosted their annual Christmas in the South Tour of Homes Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
The tour, which began in the early 1990s, featured five Atmore homes that decorated for the Christmas season.
Tickets for the event went for $10 to benefit local charities.
The Beans Store served refreshments following the tour and a display of Carolyn Smith's needlepoint was on display at the Atmore News next door as well.
