Mildred Smith
ATMORE – Mrs. Mildred Smith McCoy, 91, of Atmore passed away on Dec. 13, 2006. Born in Hiltons, Va. on July 28, 1915 to James A. and Ethel Smith. Mrs. McCoy worked for the FBI in fingerprinting. Preceded in death by her husband W.D. McCoy.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kay C. Tisdale and husband Brooks of Baton Rouge, La.; three grandchildren, Kathy Tisdale Johnson and husband Al Johnson, Karen Tisdale Bach and Kristi Tisdale; one great grandchild, Ashley Tuminello.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 15, 2006 at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home at 10a.m. with Rev. Dan Rhodes officiating.
Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation was held Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the Funeral Home from 5:30p.m. until 7:30p.m. Pallbearers were the Methodist Men's Club, John Garrad, Alex Jones, Rob Faircloth, Jim Van Pelt Dickie Dickinson, Tal Black.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Rosa C. Walker
PENSACOLA, Fla. – Mrs. Rosa C. "Bobo" Walker, 92, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006 at a Pensacola hospital.
Mrs. Walker was a native of Pineville, Fla., a former resident of Poplar Dell, Fla., and a resident of Pensacola, Fla. for the past six and a half years. She was a 1933 graduate of Ernest Ward High School, a postmaster at Bluff Springs from 1947 to 1953, and a postmaster at Bluff Springs from 1947 to 1953, and a clerk at the Century Post office from 1953 to 1971. She attended the Flomaton Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Cephas Walker, three sisters and a brother.
Survivors include: her son, Joe Winston "Wimpy" and Ola Walker of Crawfordsville, Fla.; her daughter, Sue and James Smith of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and a sister, Bonnie White of West Melbourne, Fla.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006 at 2p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Gladdin Gibson officiating.
Burial followed at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation was held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006 from 1p.m. until funeral time at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Steve Walker, Joe Walker, David Smith, Chris Smith, Trey Harper, and George Harper.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 North 12th Avenue, Pensacola, Fla. 32504, in memory of Rosa Walker or Oak Grove Cemetery, c/o Jackie Darby, 4350 Gobbler Road, Century, Fla. 32535.

STOCKTON – Mrs. Sadie York, 81, of Stockton passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006 at Oakwood Nursing Center in Bay Minette. Services are to be announced by Turner Funeral Chapel.
