Isom Coley
ATMORE – Mr. Isom Coley, 72, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore with Turner Funeral Chapel directing. Public viewing will be Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007 from 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m at the Chapel.
Joseph Bishop
BAY MINETTE – Mr. Joseph Bishop, 76, of Bay Minette passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2007 at North Baldwin Hospital. Services are to be announced by Turner Funeral Chapel.
Lillian Mary Boren
CENTURY, FLA. – Mrs. Lillian Mary Boren, 82, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007 at a Santa Rosa County hospital.
Mrs. Boren was a native of Stillwell, Okla., a resident of Century, Fla. for the past 46 years, and attended the Bethel Temple Holiness Church.
Survivors include: her husband of 57 years, Rev. Herman R. "Nick" Boren of Byrneville, Fla.; two sons, Jeff Anderson of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Nick Boren of Mobile; her daughter, Donna Pierno of Kingsland, Ga.; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Ruby Winkler of Bishop, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Peebles and the Rev. Fil Enfinger officiating.
Burial will follow at Byrneville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007 from 12:30 p.m. until funeral time at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Francis B. Hunt
JAY, FLA. – Mrs. Francis B. Hunt, 69, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007 at a Santa Rosa County hospital.
Mrs. Hunt was a native of Athens, Ga., a resident of Jay, Fla., for the past 34 years, a member of the Pensacola Laryngectomy Association and attended the Lottie Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Dianne Hunt.
Survivors include: her husband of 49 years, Dale Hunt of Jay, Fla.; three sons, Kenneth Dale Hunt of Jay, Fla., Wallace Ray Hunt of New York, Fla., and Kevin Dwayne Hunt of Chumuckla, Fla.; five grandchildren; two brothers, James Barbas, Jr. of Old Town, Fla. and Chip Barbas of Flomaton; and her sister, Barbara McArthur of Montgomery.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Lottie Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Pruitt and the Rev. Chip Barbas officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 29, 2007 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Roger McDuffey, Glenn Hadley, Dale Robinson, Kenneth Dale Hunt, Wallace Ray Hunt, Kevin Dwayne Hunt, Houston Gill, and Chip Barbas. Honorary pallbearer will be Don "Cowboy" Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Lottie Baptist Church Building Fund.
Betty Kelly Redmond
CENTURY, FLA. – Mrs. Betty Kelly Redmond, 72, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007 at a Pensacola hospital.
Mrs. Redmond was a native and resident of Century, Fla., for most of her life and attended the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include: her son, Earnie "Sonny" Depue of Century, Fla; two daughters, Carrie Campbell of Century, Fla., and Sharon and Paris Ruybalid of Sacramento, CA; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her brother, Wendell Kelly of Mobile.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 26, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Shelton Kindig officiating.
Visitation was held Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Marlin Edmon Ryals
WALNUT HILL, FLA. – Mr. Marlin Edmon Ryals, 69, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007 in Pensacola, Fla.
Mr. Ryals was a native of Castleberry and a resident of Walnut Hill, Fla. for the past 42 years. He was retired from Monsanto after 37 years of service in 1993, was an Honorary Chapter Farmer of Walnut Hill, Fla., and attended the First Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ.
Survivors include: his wife of 43 years, Adele Ryals of Walnut Hill; two sons, Paul Cornelius Ryals of Walnut Hill, Fla. and Loisil Baker of Sanford, Fla.; six daughters, Althea and Fred Rude of Saluda, N.C., Lois and Jerry Stuckey of Walnut Hill, Fla., Geneva and Leon Hewitt of Newman, Ga.,Elaine Herndon of Moncks Corner, S.C., Sherry and Donnie Williamson of LaGrange, Ga. and Lori and Glenn Penwright of Hattiesburg, Miss.; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Earl Ryals of Montgomery and Marvin Ryals of Albuquerque, N.M.; and his sister, Christine Hinton of Carrabelle, Fla.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Collie and the Rev. Henry Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow at Pineville Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Eady, Donnie Williamson, Gordon Freeman, Jerry Stuckey, Mitchell Ryals and Vernon Phillips.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Clarence Hart, Max Turner, Willie Wilbourn, Brent Andrews and Jessie Nicholson.
Ruby Elizabeth "Liz" Boone
WALNUT HILL, FLA. – Mrs. Ruby Elizabeth "Liz" Boone, 81, of Walnut Hill, Fla. died Jan. 24, 2007 in Century, Fla. She was a seamstress with Vanity Fair Mills, born in Escambia county, McCullough on August 29, 1925 to the late Thomas Wilmer and Ruby Porter Tolin.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Boone and a grandchild, Rodney Shane Gregg.
Survivors include: her former husband and lifetime companion, Helton P. Davis of Atmore; three sons, Roy Wayne Dunn and wife Iris, Thomas Henry Davis and wife Donna Marie, all or Uriah, Autrey Edward Davis of Davisville, Fla.; three daughters, Evelyn Joan Lang and husband Bruce of Brandon, Miss., Betty Lou Gregg and husband, Doyle of Atmore, Linda Joyce Morgan and husband, Bobby of Hilham, Tenn.; one brother, Leon Tolin of McCullough; one sister, Mary Ellen Dunn of Lake Charles, La.; a special friend, Minnie Roley; 11 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Malcolm Harrelson officiating. Interment followed in McCullough Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Jerry Johnson, Allan Johnson, Thomas B. Davis, James Tolin Randall Reid and David Yadon.
Family received friends, Friday evening Jan. 26, 2007 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
