Letter to the Editor
Dear Editor,
First, I would like to thank the person who nominated me, to those who wrote letters of support, and the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce for my being awarded the 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award. What an honor!
I would like to say a special thank you to United Bank for providing the room for the reception held for me on Friday, February 2 and to all who attended the reception, to all who have sent flowers, cards and emails, to all who have called and to all who have personally told me congratulations. I have cried several tears of happiness from this experience, due to either what was spoken as a congratulations or due to the individual from whom I heard.
There is only one statement–and I do so appreciate all of the kindness shown, but– I CAN NEVER GIVE TO ATMORE THE AMOUNT ATMORE HAS GIVEN TO ME! But, whatever good I have done, I give God all the credit. From an early age, I have felt that people have just always been around to take care of me, but I have grown to know it was God who placed angels. I thank you for loving me and appreciating my efforts!
And, yes. . . I Love Ya!
