Frank Taylor carried the Escambia County Blue Devils on his back in 2006-07. He averaged 24 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks per game in his senior outing.
Taylor also registered six double-doubles during the season and dropped a career-high 36 points on W.S. Neal Dec. 14 in the opening round of the Escambia County Tournament in Brewton.
The measure of a high school player is how many schools have interest in that player. Taylor has nine colleges looking at him and he will choose one of those nine later this month. He is a pure shooter who has ice running through his veins, said ECHS head coach Jerome Antone.
For his accomplishments this year on the court Taylor has been named the 2006-07 Atmore Advance Male Player of the Year.
The statistics speak for themselves and Taylor carried the Blue Devils throughout the year and epitomized the meaning of Player of the Year.
