Baseball Blue Devils done after tourney

Senior starting pitcher Jonathan McNeil did his best on the mound, but the Escambia County Blue Devils couldn't pull out a win in the final game of the season against rival T.R. Miller.
ECHS lost 2-0 to the Tigers and McNeil took the loss, pitching six innings and allowing two runs on six hits and striking out two batters. But the offense was not there for McNeil, as the Blue Devils did not get a hit in the game.
Blue Devils 10 – W.S. Neal 5
The Blue Devils grabbed a win in the second game of the Escambia County Tournament Friday night against the W.S. Neal Blue Eagles. The Blue Devils put together a five-run sixth inning to pull ahead of the Blue Eagles for good.
Cody Vickrey was 3-for-3 at the plate with one run scored and two RBIs. Jonathan McNeil went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Corey Flowers was 2-for-2 with a double, one run scored and one RBI. Eric Coley went 1-for-4 with two RBIs.
Vickrey picked up the win on the mound for the Blue Devils, throwing a complete game and allowing five runs, two earned, on five hits. He struck out 11 batters and had four walks.
Flomaton 11 – Blue Devils 6
In the opening game of the Escambia County Tournament for the Blue Devils and the Hurricanes, Flomaton came away victorious, 11-6 Thursday night.
Atmore jumped on top with two runs in the first inning, but Flomaton answered with three runs in the top of the second inning. The Blue Devils struck back with three runs in the second to make the ECHS lead 5-3, but the Blue Devils only scored one more run in the game and Flomaton scored four in the third, one in the fourth and three in the fifth for the win.
Kevin Green took the loss on the hill for ECHS, allowing eight runs, four earned on nine hits in three innings.
At the plate Michael Thomas led the way, going 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs. Green also hit a home run and went 1-for-2 with one run scored and one RBI. Corey Flowers was 2-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI. Anthony Matthews went 1-for-3 with two runs scored.
The Blue Devils finished the tournament in third place and Corey Flowers and Cody Vickrey were named to the All-Tournament team.
