Hudson's Dirt Cheap on Lindberg Avenue in Atmore will be opening its doors to shopping fanatics who love a good bargain tomorrow at 9 a.m.
Hudson's spokesperson Cliff Brown said that he is thrilled about the store coming into Atmore.
"We're excited about putting another Dirt Cheap in Alabama," Brown said. "And we're excited about giving the people some cheap options."
Brown said that he thinks Atmore residents are looking forward to the new store.
"People in Atmore have been coming by the store and looking in the windows," he said. "I think they're excited about it."
The Atmore location will be the 31st Hudson's Dirt Cheap store. Other stores are spread across Mississippi, Louisiana and there are a few more in Alabama, including one in Tuscaloosa, Jackson, Thomasville and Mobile.
Hudson's Dirt Cheap will sell brand name merchandise at a discounted price. Items the store sells consists of things that could be out of season, over runs, closeouts, discontinued, customer returns and overstock.
Employees stock the stores every day, but because of the type of merchandise the store sells, employees are never sure what they will receive on a daily basis.
Based on a press release sent by Hudson's Dirt Cheap, the store's customers come into their stores looking for bargains, "buying goods at extremely low prices and enjoying a satisfying shopping experience."
"They come away from their shopping experience feeling as though they have made money rather than spent money," the press release states.
According to Brown, the company will commemorate its 70th year during 2007 and he is glad that Atmore could be a part of that celebration.
"The Hudson Company is celebrating its 70th year in business this year," Brown said. "We're excited to be coming into Atmore in the midst of our 70th anniversary.
