Bank robbery suspects crash in Atmore

Two Mobile bank robbery suspects were apprehended after a Mobile Police Department cruiser struck the car the suspects were driving ending a 50-mile, high-speed chase near Atmore Wednesday.
The suspects were later identified as William Corey Seltzer, 26, and Crystin Robinson, 25, both of St. Louis. The couple used a note to rob Commonwealth Bank on Spring Hill Avenue shortly before noon.
Following the robbery, Seltzer and Robinson led officers on a chase in a their getaway car, a Pontiac Grand Prix, north on Interstate 65 and at times exceeded 100 mph. The chase ended at the 54-mile marker near the Poarch Band of Creek Indians reservation.
Officers with the Atmore Police Department and Poarch Police Department, as well as, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office assisted the Mobile Police Department and Mobile Sheriff's Department as the chase entered Escambia County. More than 25 law enforcement agents were at the scene of the accident. The Alabama State Troopers Office and FBI were also involved in the investigation.
