Sasser shuts down Tigers

The Atmore Lions Club Cardinals scored two runs in the first inning and one in the third inning and Jordan Sasser allowed only one run on the hill, as the Cardinals defeated the Atmore Rotary Club Tigers 3-1 June 7 in Atmore Cal Ripken Major League action.
Sasser struck out 10 batters in six innings and the lone run for the Tigers came in the fifth inning.
Sasser also scored one run for the Cardinals and David Landis added two runs scored.
For the Tigers, Justin Smith scored one run.
Red Sox 5
Warriors 4
The Joey's Furniture Red Sox took down the United Bank Warriors June 7 in a tough battle, 5-4.
Chance Jackson, Clayton Vickrey, Colby Smith, Dustin Mack and Casey Jackson each scored one run for the Red Sox.
Brodie Amos, Aaron McDonald, Brett Helton and Hunter McKay each crossed the plate once for the Warriors.

Athletics 5
Brodie Amos led the United Bank Warriors over the First National Bank &Trust Athletics June 4 with three runs scored. Dalton Daniels, DyQuan Lee and Hunter Sherouse each added two runs scored for the Warriors.
Aaron McDonald, Paul Arnold, Nate Smith, Wesley Jefferson, Dakota Goins and Hunter McKay each scored one run.
Malcolm Black and Fred Knight scored two runs apiece for the A's and Michael Glick added one run.
Rangers 5
Tigers 3
The Atmore VFW Rangers defeated the Rotary Club Tigers 5-3 June 4.
A.J. Matthews led the Rangers with two runs scored and Bo Bishop, Harold Harrison and Austin Albritton each added one run scored.
For the Tigers, Matthew Quimby, Scott Brantley and Tristan McAnally each scored one run.
Red Sox 10
Tigers 3
On June 1 the Joey's Furniture Red Sox took down the Rotary Club Tigers, 10-3.
Casey Jackson scored three runs to lead the Red Sox in scoring. Colby Smith added two runs scored and Chance Jackson, Clayton Vickrey, Logan Smith, Tanner Smith and Dustin Mack each added one run scored.
The Tigers had two runs scored by Nolan McAnally and one run by Justin Smith.
Warriors 6
Cardinals 5
The Warriors won another close contest June 1 over the Lions Club Cardinals, 6-5.
Aaron McDonald led the scoring for the Warriors with two runs scored and Brett Helton, Paul Arnold, Dalton Daniels and Wesley Jefferson each scored one run.
For the Cards, Derrick Williams and Perry Metzler scored two runs apiece and William Swartzendruber added one run scored.

The Alto Products Yankees used a five-run first inning to take down the Swift Supply Lions 17-6 June 7 in Atmore Cal Ripken Minor League action.
Tom Rolin scored four runs for the Yankees. Arron Salter, Arri Torress, Eric Williams and Marlon Lee added three runs scored apiece and Reggie Tolbert scored one run.
For the Lions, Cadarius Smith and Levi Solomon each scored two runs and Caleb Ingram and Johnny Stephens scored one run apiece.

The Chuck Stevens Chevrolet Cubs edged out the Kirk Insurance Agency Tigers June 7, 8-7.
Xan McGhee scored two runs for the Cubs and Trae Thompson, Tim Finklea, Nytorious Cooler, Stephen Gehman, Travious Lucas and Tristan Agerton each scored one run.
For the Tigers, Blake Allen scored three runs and Brandon Cummings, Dalton Tolbert, Danny Crenshaw and LaDarrion Johnson each scored one run.
Cardinals 10

The Atmore Vision Center Cardinals did not score until the third inning, but then they unloaded on the Chuck Stevens Cubs for a 10-4 victory June 4.
Billy Powell, Mark McMillian and Darren Landis each scored two runs for the Cards and Steven Wilson, Devon Robinson, Jacob Gibbs and David Dobson each crossed the plate once.
Trae Thompson, Cameron Macks, Tim Finklea and Nytorious Cooler each scored one run for the Cubs.

The Kirk Insurance Tigers squeezed out an 11-10 victory over the Vision Center Cardinals June 1.
Jimmy Overstreet, Ryan Johnson, Blake Allen and Danny Crenshaw each scored two runs for the Tigers and Dalton Tolbert, LaDarrion Johnson and Gaetyn Thames each added one run scored.
For the Cards, Billy Powell, Malik McMillian and Jacob Gibbs each scored two runs and Steven Wilson, Devon Robinson, Darren Landis and Brendon Rolin added one run scored apiece.
Yankees 8

The Alto Yankees took down the Swift Lions June 1, 8-7.
Noah Brooks, Arri Torress, Tom Rolin and Eric Williams each scored two runs for the Yanks.
Denver Shuttlesworth scored two runs to lead the Lions and Levi Solomon, Johnny Stephens, Ben Hubert and Tyler Jackson each added one run.
