ATMORE – Mrs. Lorraine Johnson, 76, of Atmore passed away June 13, 2007 at Springhill Memorial Hospital. Services are to be announced by Turner Funeral Chapel.
Memorial service for
Ted Carter June 23
A memorial service will be held for Ted Carter, son of James W. and Ida Carter, and brother to Gurney, Ruth (died at age 11 months), Bama, Lola, Donnie Mae, Johnnie B., Calvin and Ed Carter. Ted was in the U.S. Navy during WWII; he was killed on a Navy vessel, the U.S.S. Suwannee and buried at sea.
The service will be held June 23 at Robinsonville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 11 a.m. followed by the placing of a plaque in the cemetery near the Carter family gravesites.
There will be a covered dish lunch following the service.
It is requested that everyone wear red, white or blue or a combination of those colors.
There will be a photo CD available for a small donation that will be given to the church to offset the expenses for the use of their facilities.
