Atmore Public Library thanks community
The staff of the Atmore Public Library would like to thank everyone for helping make Summer Reading 2007 a great success. Thanks to our sponsors, Alabama Power Company, Pepsi Bottling Company and Pizza Hut. Thanks to Fire Chief Gerry McGhee, fireman Mike Respress, Police Chief Jason Dean, police officers Shevie Stewart and Darrell Holsonback and to Samantha and Leslie Smith for their help in our Independence Day parade. Thanks to Shirley West, Jeff Kirkland, Melanie Harrison and Jimmy and Sierra Stiles for providing the nature and safety programs. Your contributions to the Friends of the Library provided a magician for one of our programs. A very special thanks to The Atmore Advance for publicizing our programs and allowing the public to see what our children are involved in this summer. Our program was a great success; attendance for all six programs was 476 children and 135 adults, total circulation for children's books was 2,981. We would not have been able to provide this program without your help.
