Eleanor Ernestine Davis
ATMORE – Mrs. Eleanor Ernestine Davis, 78, of Atmore died July 17, 2007 in Atmore. She was a homemaker, born in Atmore on August 20,1928 to the late William Addieson and Lila Lambert Mothershed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Calvin Davis and a grandson, Michael Blake Baker.
Survivors are one son, Rev. W. Don Davis and wife, Sara of Atmore; three daughters, Anita Hughes and husband, Ricky of Atmore, Judy Baker and husband, Randy of Oak Grove, Fla. and Nina Lindsey and husband, Ben of Atmore; four brothers, W.D. Mothershed, Gladyn Mothershed, Fred Mothershed and Carl Mothershed of Atmore; one sister, Dorothy Hall of Atmore; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, July 20, 2007 at 11 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Don Davis officiating.
Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Rickey Van Hughes, William Marcus Hughes, Christopher Allen Hughes, Jared Don Davis, Joshua Don Davis, Benjamin Franklin Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers were, Wayne Harris, Doug Waters, Danny Guy, Roy White, Kelvin Diller, Charles Wilson, Gerry McGhee, Glen Maholovich, Carl Ward and Keith Lisenby.
Family received friends Thursday evening July 19, 2007 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Barbara L. Brown
STRATFORD, Texas – Barbara L. Brown, 53, of Stratford, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Coldwater Manor in Stratford, Texas. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Boxwell Funeral Directors, 500 N Maddox, Dumas, Texas.
Barbara was born March 14, 1954 in Lubbock, Texas to Bob and Bobbie (Wright) Dunn. She owned a restaurant with her sister Brenda.
Survivors include: her son, Tanner Brown of Guymon, Okla.; her daughter, Brandi and husband, Wade Edwards of Fla.; her parents, Bob and Bobbie Dunn of Atmore; her sister, Brenda Dunn of Texhoma, Okla.; her niece Rennie McRight of N.M. and two grandchildren.
