Audrey Sherlene Crook
ATMORE – Miss Audrey Sherlene Crook, 83, of Atmore died Friday, July 27, 2007 in Atmore. She was born in Atmore on Dec. 20, 1923 to the late James Wheeler and Lettie Mae Weaver Crook, Sr.
She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include, one brother, Charles Crook of Atmore and a special friend and caretaker, Deloris Rawls of Atmore.
Services will be held today at 10 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Elder James E. Powell officiating. Interment will follow in McCullough Cemetery.
Family received friends Tuesday evening, July 31, 2007 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of all arrangements.
Charles William Wardrop
ATMORE – Mr. Charles William Wardrop, 89, of Atmore died Saturday, July 28, 2007 in Bay Minette. He was the owner of Escambia Auto Parts, born on March 7, 1917 in Laural, Miss. to the late Edward and Mary Ortega Wardrop.
He was a WWII Veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church of Atmore.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Cora Mae Wardrop.
Survivors include, two sons, Wyatt Wardrop and Glenn Wardrop and wife, Douthy; one daughter, Katie Smith, all of Atmore; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
Services were held Monday, July 30, 2007 at 10 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Arnold Hendrix officiating. Interment followed in Serenity Gardens. Active pallbearers were: James Norris, John Shiver, Jr., Charles Lowery, Marvin Risher, Garth Branch and Johnny Gibbs.
Honorary pallbearers were the VFW Post 7016 of Atmore.
Family received friends, Sunday evening July 29, 2007 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Martha Louise Tims-Mason
FLOMATON – Mrs. Martha Louise Tims- Mason was born to Lonnie Tims and Etta Davis-Tims on April 15, 1937 in Flomaton. She was preceded in death by her son, Eugene Wilson, six sisters, Mary Lee Tims-Parker, Margaret Dempsey Tims, Carolyn Tims-McCants, Annie Bell Tims, Geneva Tims and Thelma Tims-Brown, two brothers, Andrew Pleasant and Lonnie Tims and two grandchildren.
Martha accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Liberty Baptist Church. Later, she united with the Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one sister, Eartha Ree Watkins-Pleasant; four daughters, Katie Ruth Tims of Century, Fla., Estelle Mason (Ivory Boggan), Christine Tims and special daughter, Alicia R Mason, all of Atmore; two sons, Tommy Loemac Wilson of Baton Rouge, La., and William Thomas Addison of Birmingham; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Close friends of the family, Walter Lee McCrackin and Ann McNeal.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Jones Street Pentecostal Holiness Church with Bishop Willie L. Williams officiating.
Pallbearers were: Robert Tims, Bobby Ray Knights, Robert Tims, Wille James Boggan, Ivory Boggan, Willie James Boggan.
Flower bearers were family and friends.
Interment was held in Fairview Cemetery.
Final arrangements were entrusted to Christian Memorial Funeral Home.
Mary Nowlin Jordan
FLOMATON – Mrs. Mary Nowlin Jordan, 79, of Flomaton died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Jay Hospital. Mrs. Jordan was a native of Alexandria and had been a member of the Flomaton community for over 50 years coming from Alexandria. She taught school for many years at Flomaton Elementary and she volunteered there tutoring. Mrs. Jordan is preceded in death by her son, Stephen Gregory Jordan and her brother, James Wesley Nowlin and she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include, her husband, Mr. W.E. "Nub" Jordan of Flomaton; a sister, Mildred Freeman of Alexandria; a niece, Linda McCarley of Cedar Town, Ga.; nephews, Ray Reeves of Gaylesville, James Nowlin of Billings, Mont., Lanier Summers of Buffalo, N.Y.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerry Keese officiating.
Interment followed in Little Escambia Cemetery in Flomaton.
Visitation was held Saturday morning, July 28, 2007 from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.
Pallbearers were: Mike Wedgeworth, Mike Brown, Clint Patterson, Pep Parrish, Jerry Whatley, Junior Jordan.
