Employees from Peacock Photography surprised one lucky senior this week after a drawing for a free senior portrait package and free sitting took place Tuesday night.
Andy Anderson of Escambia Academy was the winner and according to Jodi Peacock, he will receive a free sitting fee, which typically costs $50 and a package of photos, which costs $28. Total, Anderson won $78 of modeling time and pictures.
Anderson was not on location Tuesday night to learn he was the winner however employees at Peacock Photography said they are attempting to get in touch with him to share the news.
Peacock said the reason she chose to do this promotion is to inform students that graduation pictures do not have to be taken only at school.
"We were trying to get the word out that you can order graduation announcements more than just at your school," she said.
There are several different types of photos seniors can choose to capture their last memories of high school. Seniors can dress in their finest business attire or wear jeans and a T-shirt. Or, they can take their picture in their basketball jerseys and have a basketball as their prop, they can wear their cheerleading uniforms and carry their poms or could wear their band uniforms with their instruments. It is all up to the seniors and it can all be done at Peacock Photography.
"There are such a variety of photos," Peacock said. "We can do everything they need for their graduation class."
Peacock Photography offers many options for seniors also. There are three packages seniors can choose from for their portraits. The first package includes two 8×10 photos, four 5x7s and 24 wallet-sized pictures for $40. Package B includes one 8×10, two 5×7 photos and two 4x6s for $28. And, the third package includes a photo folio with eight 4×6 photos, two 8x10s, two 5×7 photos and 32 wallet-sized pictures, chosen from the photos in the folio, for $110.
Peacock Photography also offers items individually. Seniors can buy eight wallet-sized photos for $12, a 4×6 for $7, a 5×7 for $8, an 8×10 for $11, a 16×20 for $30, a photo magnet $5, a photo button for $5, a keychain for $6 and a photo folio for $30.
Photos are shot on location and seniors can bring their special attire and props. There is a $50 sitting fee.
Peacock Photography is located in The Paper Station, also operated by Peacock, at 100 N. Main St. Seniors can find graduation announcements at the store and other items that schools do not offer.
