Billy Jarrell
RABUN – Mr. Billy Jarrell, 66, passed away Monday, August 6, 2007 in Rabun.
Mr. Jarrell was a native of Uriah, and a resident of Rabun for the past 21 years. He was a loving Daddy, and grandfather and attended the Baptist Church. Predeceased by his wife, Lora Faye Jarrell.
Survivors include: four sons, John Jarrell of Kissimmie, Fla., Billy Jarrell of Mobile, Clifton Smith of Rabun, and Chris Stacey of Rabun; seven daughters, Sarah Jarrell of Bay Minette, Sandra Bundy of Bay Minette, Wanda Smith of Atmore, Tammy Cooper of Bay Minette, Ann Williamson of Rabun, Christy Stewart of Bay Minette and Gail Stacey of Rabun; 22 grandchildren; his brother, Douglas and Carol Jarrell of Ark.; three sisters, Jean and Turner Brooks of Atmore, Sara Brooks of Atmore, and Sadie Jones and Ark.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the New Providence Baptist Church with Sister Helen Stewart officiating.
Burial will follow at Dean Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Visitation was held Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the New Providence Baptist Church.
Lavinia Jarman Davis
ATMORE – Funeral services for Lavinia Jarman Davis, 80, of Atmore will be Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 7:15 p.m. at Fredericks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Perry Fowler officiating. Burial was held in the Mothershed Family Cemetery in Atmore on Friday, August 10, 2007 at 1 p.m.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 09, 2007 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Frederick's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis was born Oct. 30, 1926 and died August 7, 2007 at the East Alabama Medical Center.
She worked with Vanity Fair for 20 years with her own clothing business for 20 years.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Davis, her parents, Clinton and Leona Jarman, her brother, Thomas C. Jarman.
She is survived by: her daughter, Cynthia Lynn Davis; a brother, Everett Jarman; three sisters, Sarah Crawford of Tucson, Ariz., Charlene Wagahoff of Greenwood, Ind., and Carolyn Lang of Hillsboro, Oregon.
Fredericks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ferrell Stacey
RABUN – Mr. Ferrell Stacey, age 43 of Rabun, died August 6, 2007 at Mobile Hospital. Born to Lonnie and Clinie Stacey on May 7, 1964. He was preceded in death by father, Lonnie Stacey; brother, Fate Stacey; sister, Flossie Stacey. Survivors include his wife, Janice Stacey; one son, Tony Stacey of Rabun; mother, Clinie Wainwright Stacey of Rabun; three sisters, Faye Luker of Dyas, Fern Gill of Rabun and Freida Johnston of Rabun; three brothers, Favin Stacey, Filmer Stacey and Fred Stacey of Rabun. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from the New Hope Community Church in Rabun with Sister Helen Stewart and Brother Bubba Rolin officiating. Burial will follow at the Dean Cemetery. Mr. Stacey will lie in state at the church on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday. Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
