The First National Bank &Trust has decided to sponsor area football teams in a different way for the 2007 season.
FNB&Trust president Shep Marsh had an idea and that idea blossomed into the First National Bank &Trust Points Club.
The schools involved with the points club are, Escambia County High School, Escambia Academy and Northview High School in the Atmore area, and Excel, Monroe County and Frisco City high schools and Monroe Academy also.
Each football program will receive $50 per touchdown and $25 per field goal scored during each home game of the 2007 season.
This is an exclusive program offered by FNB&Trust.
The respective schools will announce the FNB&Trust Points Club and how the club works prior to each home game's kick-off and during half time.
After each score, the announcer will recognize the FNB&Trust Points Club and the amount that will be donated to the football program. At the end of the game, the announcer will provide the total donation for the game. Total donations for the season will be distributed at the end of the season.
Friday night home game scores should be emailed to rene@fnbandt.com each Monday. FNB&Trust, in turn, will provide a cumulative total for all points that will be announced during the next home game.
