Ester Olivia Sardina Salter
ATMORE – Mrs. Ester Olivia Sardina Salter, 88, of Atmore died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007 in Atmore. She was a homemaker, born in Atmore on Feb.18, 1919 to the late Henry and Gohagan Ardis.
Her husband, William Jefferson Salter Jr., one daughter, Dorothy Ann Carraway and one brother, Daniel T. Ardis all preceded her in death.
Survivors include, three sons, Charles Wentford Salter, William Jefferson Salter Jr. (Angie), Dewayne Salter (Linda), all of Atmore; six daughters, Dottie Mae Harrellson (James), Lottie L. Caraway and friend Daniel, Mary J. Caraway (Pete), Shirley O. White (Larry), and Elizabeth A. Boutwell (Joe), all of Atmore; 30 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren, and 24 great great grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Timothy officiating. Interment followed in McCullough cemetery.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel in charge of all arrangements.
Danny Sanders
PENSACOLA, Fla. – Mr. Danny Sanders, 55, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007 at a Pensacola hospital.
Mr. Sanders was a native of Pensacola, Fla. and a resident of Pollard for the past 19 years. He was a retired employee from Jefferson – Smurfit Corporation and attended the Baptist church.
Survivors include, his wife, Linnie Sanders of Pollard; two sons, Christopher Lee Sanders of Pensacola, Fla. and Matthew Ray Sanders of Pollard; three grandchildren, Reagan Moore, Riley Moore and Ryan Sanders, his father and stepmother, Daniel and Ernestine Sanders of Cleveland, Tenn.; his mother, Ella Mae Lynch of Ariz.; his brother, Ronald Sanders and his sister, Rita Nobles of Milton, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007 at the Petty Eastside Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Kimmons officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007 at the Petty Eastside Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Marion Kendrick, Johnny Sturdivant, Corey Brown, Richard Merchant, Billy Merchant and Kevin Merchant.

CAMDEN – Carrie Powell, 98, of Camden died Aug. 25, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Aug. 31, 2007 at Rock West Baptist church in Camden.
Christian Memorial Funeral home is in charge of all arrangements.
