Sarah Grace Boutwell
BAY MINETTE – Infant Sarah Grace Boutwell passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007 in Bay Minette.
Survivors include, her parents, J.J. Boutwell and Michelle Phillips, both of Flomaton; three half brothers, Justin Timothy Boutwell, Thadius Joseph Boutwell and Jackson Floyd Boutwell, all of Poarch; her grandparents, Jimmy and Carolyn Phillips of McCullough and Jessie and Debbie Boutwell of Flomaton and her great grandmother, Della Johnson of Flomaton, her great grandparents, Floyd Boutwell and Kathreen Boutwell.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007 at the Petty – Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Daniel officiating.
Burial will follow at McCullough cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007 at the Petty – Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Marilyn Renea Chavers
CANTONMENT Fla. – Miss Marilyn Renea Chavers, 40, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007 at a Pensacola Hospital.
Miss Chavers was a native and life-long resident of Cantonment, Fla. She touched the lives of many children and elderly people and attended the Baptist Church. Her father, Melvin Chavers, and a sister Penny Nicole Aldridge, preceded her in death.
Survivors include, her mother, Helen Chavers of Cantonment, Fla.; her stepmother, Marie and Donald Aldridge of Autaugaville; a brother, Randy Aldridge of Monticello, Miss; four sisters, Becky Aldridge of Mobile Tina McGowin of Cantonment, Fla.;Jennifer Youngblood of Jay, Fla. and Samantha Eldridge of Irvington and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Johnson officiating.
Burial followed at Enon cemetery.
Visitation was held from 12:30 p.m. until service time Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Tim Chavers, Roger Chaves, Michael Chavers, Phillip Chavers, Jay Youngblood and Randy Aldridge.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark McGowin, Justin McGowin, David Chavers and Carl Eldridge.
Charles Daughtry
ATMORE – Mr. Charles Daughtry born May 18, 1951 in Walnut Hill, Fla. later moved to Atmore where he was a graduate of Escambia County Training School.
His father, Matthew Daughtry and his brother, Henry Earl Daughtry, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish in loving memories his mother, Ora Bell Daughtry and grandmother Gertrude Bradley; three children, Latrina (Don) Richardson, Charles (Frankie) Daughtry Jr. and Schiavetta (Darrin) Mittchell; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Patricia (Larry) Coles of the Netherland Brenda(Marshall) Gibbs of Monroeville and Sandra (Willie) Knight of Atmore; aunts, Oreal Bradley Stokes, Willa Dean Knighten, Annette (Alfred) Williams, Bobby Faye (Johnny) Longmire; uncles, Alvin (Yvonne) Bradley, Jamie (Ann) Bradley, Glen Bradley; one sister in law, Diane Daughtry, of Atmore and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special cousins, Carrie Steel and Yvonne Neal, Lawrence Stallworth he will always be remembered in the lives of his loved ones.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. at the Lighthouse Holiness Church and burial will follow at the Fairview cemetery.
Pallbearers and flowerbearers will be family and friends.
Mary Elizabeth Downey
ATMORE – Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Downey, 70, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007 in Atmore.
Mrs. Downey was a resident of Atmore for the past 52 years, a 1955 graduate of Brilliant High School and attended the Baptist church. Her father, Woodrow Moore and son, Marty Downey, preceded her in death.
Survivors include, her husband of 52 years, Billy Ray Downey of Atmore; two daughters, Debbie Still of Atmore and Vickie Day of McCullough; eight grandchildren, Justin Bryan Still, Heidi Ann Still, Amy Jackson, Megan Day, Destiny Downey, Miles Downey and Trinity Downey; five great grandchildren, Bailey Knighten, Kirsten Still, Tristen Boothe, Tyler Jackson and Tanner Jackson; her mother, Ruby Moore of Winfield; a brother, Buddy Moore of Winfield and a sister, Gaynell Towery of Aberdeen, Miss.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 at the Petty – Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Bowen officiating.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2007 at the Petty – Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial followed at the Oak Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lamar White, Ronnie Barnhill, Kenny White, Freddie Godwin, Author Thrower,and Johhny MacQuimby.
Honorary pallbearers were Bernard Owens, Cliff Blackburn, Josh Perkins, Jerrill Baker, Bobby McCall, Son White, Randy Baker and Jimmy Aden.
John Walker Reaves
Century Fla. – Mr. John Walker Reaves, 58, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007 in Christian Home, Fla.
Mr. Reaves was a native of Century, Fla. and a resident of Christian Home, Fla. for the past 18 years, the owner of the Southern Pit Stop in Century, Fla. and attended the Baptist church. His parents, Sidney and Laura Reaves preceded him in death.
Survivors include, his wife of 37 years, Donna L. Reaves of Christian Home, Fla.; three sons, John and Jennifer Reaves of Crestview, Fla., Kiley and Bonnie Reaves of Christian Home, Fla. and Kevin and Rebecca Reaves of Christian Home, Fla.; six grandchildren, Holy Erin, Triston, Joseph, Kyle and Braden; a brother, William Reaves of Flomaton and four sisters, Ruth Geotch and Bobbie Agee, both of Flomaton; Inez Carnley and Elsie Reaves both of Century, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2007 at the Petty – Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Lee officiating.
Burial will follow at Beulah Chapel cemetery.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 at the Petty – Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Burton Reaves, Steve Reaves, Keith Reaves, Matt Reaves, Travis Reaves and Michael Carnley.
Dorothy "Shaky" Savage
ATMORE – Mrs. Dorothy "Shaky" Savage, 59, of Atmore died on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007 in Atmore at residence. She was a member of the Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church in Atmore. She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Davison Savage and her father, Rinnie Ellis preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one daughter, Sarah (Melvin) Savage King of Atmore; four stepdaughters, Elder Mary Crum, Marie (John) Grimes, Willie Mae (Major) Harden of Boston, Mass and Dorothy Lucky of Greenville; one son, Grady (Gladys) Ellis of Montgomery; four stepsons, Jimmy Savage, Earl (Angie) Savage, Clarence Savage all of Boston, Mass. and Eyston (Mattie) Savage of Montgomery; three sisters, Gwendolyn McNorton of Valleyo, Calif., Claudia Johnson of Oakhurst, N.J. and an adopted and devoted sister, Frances Dailey; two brothers, Rinnie Ellis of Chicago, Ill. and Raymond Ellis of Oakland, Calif.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 at the Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church in Atmore with the Bishop Willie. L. Williams officiating. Interment followed at the Fairview cemetery. Turner Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
Patricia Robinson Green
ATMORE – Mrs. Patricia Robinson Green, 54, of Atmore, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007 at her residence.
Public viewing will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2007 at Christian Memorial Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007 at Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Hwy. 21 North.
Christian Memorial will be in charge of all arrangements.
Lee Bonnie Williams Jr.
ATMORE – Mr. Lee Bonnie Williams Jr., 65, of Atmore died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope. Christian Memorial Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
