Recycle Now workshop slated today
Today is the day: Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. all citizens are called to be at City Hall for the Recycle Workshop. You did not read about this in the newspaper last Wednesday because the workshop date was not set until last Thursday. If you are reading this bright and early Wednesday morning, please come.
The city council will meet with our Recycle Now group in a public, information-sharing meeting. We plan to discuss:
If you want to be in on the ground floor of this citizens initiative, come to the meeting, or let City Hall know of your interest in this effort by phoning or faxing the mayor's office at, phone number-368-2253, or fax number-368-1841. Let your councilman know how you feel about the importance of recycling:
District 1: Webb Nall 368-9407, District 2: John Watkins 368-1304, District 3: Louie Turner 368-2400, District 4: John Garrard 368-3370 and District 5: Jim Staff 251-331-4985.
The time is now. Time is of the essence. Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party. All the clich/s in the world cannot emphasize enough the importance of citizens acting on their own behalf.

Spokesperson for Recycle Now
