Kizer's view a breath of air
Thank you for the column by Foster Kizer in your edition of Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007.
As a newcomer to Atmore, I had often wondered why the Advance seemed to only print extremely conservative views on the opinion page. Most often, I have seen the opinions of a young teenager on the top of the page and the rating of Congressman Jo Bonner on the bottom, both parroting the official line of the Bush administration, without deviation.
But last Sunday, I read for the first time a truly well-balanced opposing view of the political situation in our great country. I will not repeat the points made by Mr. Kizer because I cannot improve on his presentation. I do, however wish to encourage the continued inclusion of Mr. Kizer's remarks on your opinion page with another equally reactionary diatribe at the top. Thank you.
