Charles (Chuckie) Davison
BROWNSVILLE – Charles (Chuckie) Davison, 38, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, Nov. 23, 2007. His celebration will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2007 at the Assembly of God in Pensacola, Fla.
Survivors include, his wife, Heather Davison; three daughters, Dallas Davison, 14, Madison Davison, 12, and Shelby Davison 10; three sisters, Belinda Holden of Pensacola, Fla., Caroline Hughes of Atmore and Jodi Fuqua of Peatsville; mother and stepfather, Susan and Melton Bethea of Atmore; father Irving Davison of Waynesboro, Ga. and grandmother Anne Wells of Atmore.
James Dirden
ATMORE – Mr. James Dirden, 55, of Atmore died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary Hospital in Mobile. He had been employed with the Pole Industry in Bay Minette and with William House Moving Services in Walnut Hill, Fla. and he had attended school in the Escambia County School System in Atmore.
His wife, Addie Mae Dirden; his parents, John W. Dirden and Bettie W. Dirden; two sisters, Rachel Shoemake and Betty Carter; four brothers, Ted Dirden, John Dirden, James Dirden and Willie Lee Dirden all preceded her in death.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, one sister, Margaret (Walter) Lymon of Atmore and one brother, Barron Dirden of Atmore.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2007 at the Jones Street Holiness Church in Atmore with the Rev. Bishop Willie L. Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC of Atmore directing.
Marjorie Dread
ATMORE – Ms. Marjorie Dread, 56, of Atmore died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 at the Atmore Community Hospital. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and had been employed as a manager for a laundry service in Mobile and she was a graduate from the Escambia County Training School in Atmore.
Her parents, Johnnie Dread and Willie Dread preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one daughter, Canesha Dread of Mobile; one son, Archie Dread of Mobile; four sisters, Louise Johnson and Betty Dread both of Atmore, Dorothy Gordon of Willington, Del. and Mary Dread of Foley; nine brothers, Johnnie (Shirley) Dread Jr. of Moss Point, Miss., Benjamin (Doreen) Dread of Jackson, James Dread, Leroy Dread and Charlie Dread all of Mobile, Sylvester (Agnes) Dread of Daphne, Claude Dread of Atmore, Arthur (Shirley) Dread of New Orleans, La. and Clarence (Octavia) Dread of Fairhope and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec.1, 2007 at the Antioch Baptist Church in Atmore with the Rev. Willie J. Smith officiating. With Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing.
Annie Louis Golden
ATMORE – Mrs. Annie Louis Golden, 78, died Nov. 26, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Golden was born Oct. 17, 1929 to Hillary Johnson and Sally Lucenda Harverson Johnson. Her husband, Avis Johnson; one brother, Grover Johnson and one sister, Inez Morrell all preceded her in death.
Survivors include, one son, Curtis Golden of Flomaton; one daughter, Debra (Allen) Smith of Flomaton; two brothers, Leon Johnson of Flomaton and Winford (Marilyn) Johnson of Flomaton and one sister, Seney Shivers of Flomaton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Day and Bro. James Pugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Escambia Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Clarence Johnson
ATMORE – Mr. Clarence Johnson of Atmore died Monday Nov. 26, 2007 at Atmore Community Hospital. Christian Memorial Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Doris Beck Mayo
Doris Beck Mayo, age 86 of Pensacola, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007. She was a member of East Brent Baptist Church where she enjoyed participating in the Sunday morning Homebound Telephone Ministry. She was a former member of Scenic Heights Baptist Church.
Her husband of 61 years, Barron E. Mayo preceded her in death in 1998.
Survivors include six children: son, Gene Mayo and wife Patty of Birmingham; daughter, Betty McJoyner and husband E.M. "Mac" of Pensacola; son, Barron E. Mayo, Jr. of Pensacola; daughter, Doris Ann Jenkins and husband Ken of Boone, NC; daughter, Sara Jayne Hyduk and husband Norman of Pensacola and daughter, Barbara L'Abbe and husband Joe, of Pensacola; six grandchildren, Douglas E. Mayo and wife Annette of Hoover, David E. Mayo, of Cocoa, Fla., Sheila Jenkins Parker, of Boone, NC, Jeremy L'Abbe, Nicholas Hyduk and Sara-Michele Hyduk all of Pensacola; three great grandchildren, Courtney Ann Parker, of Boone, NC, Nicole Zito and Jonathan Mayo, of Hoover. Also surviving are her sister, Myrtle Lucas of Pensacola; brother, Hilbert Beck and wife Mildred of Montgomery; Bonnie McQuagge, who was like a daughter to Momma Mayo and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks for the many years of love and care given by Dr. George Knefely and his staff, Donna, Denise, Joan and Vonchelle. Thanks, also to Dr. John Tucker and his assistant, Lynn, Dr. Phillip Benton, the nurses and staff on 2E and SINU at Baptist Hospital; her loving care giver, Kristy Smith and long-time friends, Jim and Kathy Smith.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Pkwy. with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Bayview Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be James Albright, Richard Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Carl Johnson, David Johnson, Aaron Johnson and Christopher Johnson.
The family will receive friends at Faith Chapel from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27.
Mary Lee House
ATMORE – Mrs. Mary Lee House, 91 of Atmore (Freemanville Community) died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 at Atmore Community Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. today Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at Mt. Gillard Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in Fairview cemetery with the Rev. Robert Davis officiating.

Juanita Vaughn Pacetti
PALATKA – Juanita Vaughn Pacetti, 84, of Palatka died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 at Palatka Health Care Center after an extended illness. She was a native of Walnut Hill, Fla. and returned to Palatka three years ago from Green Cove Springs where she lived for 23 years. She had previously lived in Palatka for 25 years before moving to Green Cove Springs. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and a homemaker. She loved Square dancing, playing bingo and camping.
Her husband, Joseph Pacetti and her parents, Jodie and Barto Soloman all preceded her in death.
Survivors include, two sons and spouses, Jimmy and Pat Vaughn of Palatka and Jerry and Elaine Vaughn of Interlachen; a step daughter and spouse, Linda and Pinkham Pacetti of Orangedale; two brothers, Barto Solomon Jr., of Pensacola, Fla. and Preston Solomon of Walnut Hill, Fla.; seven grandchildren and spouses, Gina and Randy Porter, Renee Vaughn, Vickie and Barry Mast, Scot and Melanie Vaughn, Jodi and Greg Hill, Joe and Tracy Pacetti and Paige Carlyle, 14 great grandchildren, Staci, Dedra, Griffin, Alexis, Paul, Sarah, Matthew, Jake, Josie, Brittany, Kyndall, Christian, Lindsey and Joseph along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2007 at the Johnson -Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Dave Thomason officiating. Burial will follow in Oak West cemetery. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 at the Johnson – Overturf Funeral Home in Palakta.
