Frankie Devon Odom
CENTURY, Fla. – Mr. Frankie Devon Odom, 56, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007 at a Pensacola, Fla. hospital.
Mr. Odom was a native and lifelong resident of Century, Fla. a veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Century Historical Society, an employee of Bell South and the Pensacola Naval Museum, and attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
His parents Frank and Mary Odom, and a sister, Faye Akins preceded him in death.
Survivors include, four brothers, Howard Collins and Jonathon Collins both of Pensacola, Fla. David Odom and Ricky Odom both of Century, Fla. and two sisters, Shannon Adair of Century, Fla.; and Fawn Bonds of Pace, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 at the Petty – Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial followed at Jay cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeff Fischer, Jengy Fischer, Ronnie Fischer, D.C. Odom, Mike Odom, and Daren Smith.
Floudia M. Allen
WALNUT HILL, Fla. – Mrs. Floudia M. Allen, 94 of Walnut Hill, Fla. died Dec. 4, 2007 in Duluth, Ga. She was a native of Escambia County, Fla. and had been living in Duluth, Ga. for the past six years. She was a member of Bratt Assembly of God Church. Her husband, W.R. "Bill" Allen, and one daughter Fredia Margurite Bartlett preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, R. Joseph Allen (Carol) of Norcross, Ga.; one daughter, Marcilla Peterson of Walnut Hill, Fla.; six grandchildren, Dawn Savage (Doug) of Niceville, Fla.; Angela Hannah (Jeff) of Lawrenceville, Ga.; Samantha Peterson of Bratt, Fla.; and Ashley Peterson of Milton, Fla.; John Allen of Norcross, Ga.; Michael Allen (Kristine) of Kennesaw, Ga.; and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 at Bratt Assembly of God with Rev. Collingsworth officiating. Interment followed in the Pine Barron cemetery in Davisville, Fla.
Pallbearers were Mike Allen, Marcus Bartlett, Eddie Cook, Dean Crenshaw, Doug Savage, and Nathan Wagner.
Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
Leonard A. "Dick" Snider
HUXFORD – Mr. Leonard A. "Dick" Snider, 95, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Snider was the oldest member of the Huxford Baptist Church and also a 60-year member of the 744 Huxford Masonic Lodge. He was also a retired carpenter.
His wife Annie Maude Garrette Snider and one son Thomas K. Snider preceded him in death.
Survivors include, three sons, Dickey Snider of Bay Minette; Harry Snider of Huxford and Ricky (Debbie) Snider of Red Level; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 at Huxford Baptist Church with Bro. Jessie Woods officiating. Mr. Snider lied in state at the church one hour prior to service time. Burial followed in the Huxford Baptist cemetery.
Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 at Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Charles House, James Snider, Bud Stabler, Hubbart Guy, Jeromy Hall, Charles Lowery, Donnie Snodgrass, Gene Garrette and Peter Bell.
Johnson – Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
James "JB" Craft
ATMORE – Mr. James "JB" Craft, 64, of Atmore died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007 at West Florida Hospital. Services to be announced by Turner Funeral Chapel.
Nathaniel "Banster" Odom
FLOMATON – Mr. Nathaniel "Banster" Odom, 70, of Flomaton died Friday, Dec. 6, 2007 at his residence.
Carol E. Patrick Wiggins
CENTURY, Fla. – Mrs. Carol E. Patrick Wiggins, 70, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at a Pensacola, Fla. hospital.
Mrs. Wiggins was a native of Eight Mile, a former resident of Molino, Fla., a resident of Century, Fla. since 1983 and attended the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church.
Her father, Wesley Patrick Sr., her mother, Nettie and Roscoe Valleau, her husband, Odell Wiggins, a daughter, Pam Mason, and a granddaughter, Tammie Lynn Johnson all preceded her in death.
Survivors include, three daughters, Pat and Tommy Worth of Cantonment, Fla.; Penny and Ken Dunn of Pace, Fla.; and her stepdaughter, Stephanie and Ken Frazier of Pensacola, Fla.; her grandsons, Justin and Courtney Wyatt, Clint and Camie Wooten, Kris and Rachel Worth, Robert and Megan Worth, and Chad Dunn, her granddaughters, Sarah Worth, Casey and Steve Robertson, Crystal and Camden Rodgers, Celeste Dunn, and Candace Dunn, three great grandsons, Colt Wooten, Stevie Robertson, and Connor Rodgers, two step grandchildren, three brothers, Lonnie and Kathleen Patrick of Gulf Shores; John and Marie Patrick of Millry, and Wesley and Amy Patrick Jr., of Holt, Fla.; and three sisters, Mary Jordan of Jay, Fla.; Marcia and Ronald McCall of Brewton; and Frances and Tom Perkins of Gulf Shores; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at noon Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 at Petty – Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley L. Patrick and Rev. Shelton Kindig officiating.
Burial followed at Molino Worship Center cemetery.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 at the Petty -Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ronald McCall, Brian McCall, Paul Hawkins, Jaime Lingo, Ronnie Sumler and Chad Dunn.
Honorary pallbearers were Steve Robertson, Clint Wooten, Justin Wyatt, Tommy Broadway and Ken Dunn.
