Will Bonner do the right thing?
Of course he doesn't deserve it, but Congressman Jo Bonner is being given one more chance to support his District One constituents, instead of his Puppetmaster, George Bush. Does anyone really think Bonner will do the right thing? I doubt it. He seldom does. Read the following excerpt from an essay by Sherry Walker.
"George W. Bush was so ashamed of vetoing the State Children's Health Insurance Program (S-CHIP) reauthorization act – again – that he did it in private. Can you blame him? More money than you can imagine for war, but not a penny more to make sure American children have health care.
He can do this because Republican Congressmen like Robert Aderholt, Spencer Bachus, Jo Bonner, Terry Everett and Mike Rogers will vote to uphold his veto. They have proved time and again that they will rubber stamp Bush's actions on children's insurance. How low will this President and the Republican party go?"
Of course, we know that Bush wasn't ashamed – he isn't capable of shame. This is a man who, when asked, baldly stated that he can't remember ever making a mistake! Should he be ashamed? Of course. Should he cry out for forgiveness from the American people, the families of all those dead and injured servicemen, the parents of children without health care, and the God he claims to worship? Of course he should. Will he? HA! He doesn't remember ever making a mistake.
So, what about it, Jo Bonner? Are you still going to just fall into line and do whatever King George tells you to do? Of course you are. He knows – and we know- that he can always count on your little puppet vote to uphold anything he wants to do.You're just flat pathetic, Bonner. If you want to prove me wrong, you know how – just vote the people's interest for once.
