The Lifestyles section of The Atmore Advance has become a way to feature many different stories that otherwise may not be told. The section came to life in June 2005 and has become a favorite with Advance readers.
Below is a recap of stories featured in the 2007 Lifestyles section:

  • Atmore Nursing Center residents celebrated Black History Month. The program, entitled “The Soul of Black Folk,” featured guest speaker Ann Carter who spoke about the advances African American’s have made throughout the past and the importance of educating children about the African American culture. The Expose’ All-Star Dance Team also performed for ANC residents.
