Simple steps to help curb the flu
It's still flu season in Atmore. And according to local physicians, it will not end soon.
ACH Family Physicians' Jonah McIntyre, M.D. said flu season can run as late as mid-March. He encourages local residents to continue using precautions in hopes of not catching the flu and/or spreading it.
Sniffles, sneezes and fevers are common during the winter months, but not every symptom means you have the flu. Doctors say the flu comes on quickly, bringing aches, pains and a fever.
There are some simple steps you can take to avoid spreading the flu – which can be particularly dangerous for the elderly, young children and others with compromised immune systems.
Take these steps to help prevent the flu. They will not only help keep you healthy, but also Atmore healthy – your family, friends and co-workers.
