ATMORE - Jean G. Anderson, 81, of Atmore died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, in Pensacola, Fla. She was a homemaker born in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Dec. 4, 1926 to the late Samuel and Louise Sailor Gale.
Survivors include, her husband, Bruce Anderson of Atmore; one son, Bruce Anderson II of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Evelyn K. Pepin of Aurora, Col.; three grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorial services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2008 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Rhodes officiating.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
Edward Charles Campbell
BRATT, Fla. - Mr. Edward Charles Campbell, 82, of Bratt, Fla., passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at his home. He was a native of Jay, Fla. and had been a resident of Bratt for the past 25 years.
He retired from the United States Army after 23 years of service to his country. He was also a retiree from the town of Century, Fla. His first wife, his brothers and sisters all preceded him in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Mrs. Alberta Campbell of Bratt, Fla.; three sons, Carlos Campbell of Century, Fla., Wildon (Elaine) Hall, Jr. of Grand Bay and David (Kathey) Hall of Dawsonville, Ga.; his daughter, Donna (Eric) McCall of Bratt, Fla. and his granddaughter, Erin McCall (Jeremi) Pritchett of Bratt, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Jan. 30, 2008 at the Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Bevan and the Rev. Tim Owen officiating. Burial will follow at McCurdy cemetery with Petty Funeral Homes, LLC directing.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2008 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be R.C. Wiggins, John McCall, Mike McCall, Jerry McElhaney, Jimmy McElhaney and Roy Ward.
Bernestine Davis
CENTURY, Fla. - Mrs. Bernestine Davis, 84 passed away on Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at a Pensacola hospital.
Mrs. Davis was a native of Bratt, Fla., a resident of Century, Fla. for the past 60 years, a resident of Century Care Center, where she was spokesperson and resident of the month several times and attended Poplar Dell Baptist Church. Her husband, Ted T. Davis, preceded her in death.
Survivors include, two sons, Rocky Davis of LaFayette and Ricky Davis of Tallahassee, Fla.; five daughters, Marry Carroll, Betty Porz, Pat Glover and Lynda “Skinny” Morris, all of Byrneville, Fla. and Susie Adams of Brewton; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gandy and the Rev. Mitch Herring officiating. Burial followed at Christian Home cemetery.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2008 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Daniel Morris, Shon Glover, Michael Hammonds, Jordan Kline, Teddy Kline and John Kline.
Celia Abramovich Etheridge
PERDIDO - Celia Abramovich Etheridge, 86, of Perdido died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008 in Daphne. She was a homemaker, a lifelong resident of Perdido, born on Dec. 11, 1921 to the late Anton and Marija Grgurich Abramovich. She was a member of Pine Level Primitive Baptist Church. Her husband of 66 years, Hibbert Etheridge, preceded her in death.
Survivors include, one son, Roy A. Etheridge of Perdido; two daughters, Connie Boutwell of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Maxine Childs of Peachtree, Ga.; one sister, Rosie Stewart of Perdido; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008 from the Pine Level Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Kevin Fralick and Elder Henry McClain officiating. Interment followed in Pine Level Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday evening, Jan. 28, 2008 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Lois Katherine Godwin
BREWTON - Mrs. Lois Katherine Godwin, 58, passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2008 in Brewton.
Mrs. Godwin was a native of Daphne, a resident of Brewton for the past 25 years and a loving mother to her daughter. Two daughters, Melvina Stafford and Sylvia Louise Stafford; a son, Bucky Ard and two brothers, Roy and Jessie Davis preceded her in death.
Survivors include, her son, Ricky Stafford of Haskell, Okla.; two daughters, Cindy Foster of Cantonment, Fla. and Theresa Stafford of Walnut Hill, Fla.; six grandchildren, Celia Stafford, Miranda Stafford, Deanie Stafford, Joshua Scott Foster, Jeremy Clayton Foster and Deeanna Lynn Foster; three brothers, Emmett Davis of Cullman, Jimmy Davis of Wewahitchka, Fla. and Billy Davis of Harvest; three sisters, Joyce Osborn of Florence, Ariz., Ruth Gates of Walnut Hill, Fla. and Elouise Issacks of Walnut Hill, Fla. and a special friend, James Phillips of East Brewton.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2007 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Marty Gehman officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill cemetery.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Issacks, Brocky Davis, Jerry Adams, Justin Peebles, Jared Adams and Jimmy Boutwell. Alternate pallbearers were Josh Griffis and Jimmy Taylor.
Roberta Coyle Ramsey Holloway
ATMORE - Roberta Coyle Ramsey Holloway, 94, of Atmore died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at her residence. She was a homemaker, born in New Aubany, Indiana on Feb. 15, 1914 to the late Hugh Lively and Lillian Coyle Ramsey. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Atmore.
Her husband, Chester Holloway; two sisters, Jane Margaret Ramsey Turner and Alice Elizabeth Ramsey Mason all preceded her in death.
Survivors include, two sisters, Helen Mae Ramsey Lumpkin and Ruth Lillian Ramsey Allen both of Atmore; two nephews, Hugh Edwin Allen and Phillip Ramsey Allen; numerous cousins and special friends William and Mary Grissitt and Jim and Billie Spears.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2008 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Rhodes officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill cemetery.
Family received friends from 10 a.m. until service time Monday, Jan. 28, 2008 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home. Pallbearers were, William Grissitt, Walter McNeil, Robert J. Griffin, Sr., James Spears, Giles Chapman, Jr. and T.S. Lee.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
Richard “Ricky” Morgan
BRATT, Fla. - Mr. Richard “Ricky” Morgan, 50, passed away in Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 in Bratt, Fla.
Mr. Morgan was a native and lifelong resident of Bratt, Fla., a knowledgeable electrician and attended the Baptist Church.
Survivors include, his parents, Dalton and Carolyn Morgan of Bratt, Fla.; his son, Chance Morgan of Bratt, Fla.; two daughters, Grace Morgan of Canoe and Brandy (Eric) Hubley of Pensacola, Fla.; the mother of his children, Lisa Morgan of Bratt, Fla.; two brothers, Keith (Barbara) Morgan of Bratt, Fla. and Rodney (Charlotte) Morgan of Daleville; and two sisters, Debbie (James) Smith of Silverhill and Sharon Robbins of Pensacola, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today Jan. 30, 2008 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Bevan officiating.
Visitation will be held today from 12:30 p.m. until funeral time at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Marvin Gary Russell
ATMORE - Mr. Marvin Gary Russell was born on March. 3, 1960 to Jennie Mae and Joseph Gay Russell in Pensacola, Fla. His grandparents Lucille and Dallas Johnson and a brother, James Johnson, preceded him in death.
He moved to Boston, Mass. at an early age and later in life married Mary Roscoe. To this union three children were born. He leaves to cherish his loving memory devoted wife, Mary Alice Roscoe Russell, one son, Marvin Gary Russell, Jr.; three daughters, Dimitra Russell, Christy Russell and Belinda -Nann-Tom all of Boston, Mass.; three grandchildren, Raul, Antonio and Malachi; a devoted mother, Jennie M. Russell; four sisters, Dorothy (Hilton) Peters, Rosie (Charlie) Johnson of Atmore and Sharon Russell of Atmore, Lisa (James) America of Birmingham; two brothers, Wilbert Russell and Eugene Autry of Boston, Mass.; a very good friend, John Hogan and a host of friends at Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Mass; a longtime devoted friend Bridgette Gray of Atlanta, Ga. and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church of God in Atmore with Pastor Tommy America officiating.
Active pallbearers were sons and nephews. Flower bearers were family and friends.
Christian Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.

ATMORE - Mr. Monroe Flowers, 49, of Atmore died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at his residence.
Christian Memorial Funeral Home will be directing.
Lizzie Moore
DAPHNE - Mrs. Lizzie Moore, 90, of Daphne died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 at her residence.
Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour at Faith Trinity Christian Church in Daphne.
Christian Memorial Funeral Home will be directing.
