First Baptist Church Canoe recently welcomed back into their church family pastor John Stacey and his wife, Cheryl.
The Staceys have high hopes for what God can do at FBC Canoe.
Stacey officially became pastor at FBC Canoe at the beginning of the year, but spent the month of December preaching and getting to know the congregation. But, the Staceys are not new to the life.
John Stacey has pastured many churches in different areas including Orlando and Pensacola, Fla., which is where the Staceys currently reside.
John Stacey is not a stranger to FBC Canoe, having been the pastor at the church eight years ago. He was recommended by another former pastor at the church along with director of missions for the Escambia Baptist Association Pat Andrews to again accept the position.
The new pastor traveled to Canoe throughout the month of December without Cheryl, who had her reservations about her husband getting back into the ministry.
The Staceys have two grown children and six grandchildren. They live in Pensacola, Fla. where they both work.
The Staceys trust what the Lord will do for FBC Canoe through John’s new leadership position.
