The flu is back for another round
Many surrounding cities, such as Brewton, have recently had an increase in flu outbreaks.
In Brewton, there have been 24 outbreaks of the flu reported to D.W. McMillan Hospital in the past 30 days.
There have been reports of influenza activity in many Alabama counties including Coffee, DeKalb, Elmore, Greene, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe and Tuscaloosa, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health.
An outbreak in Atmore is certainly possible so area residents need to take care in order to resist the flu bug.
