Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and it’s not too late to get your sweetie something special.
Roses, candies, jewelry and cards are great gift ideas for Valentine’s Day. You do not have to go anywhere to purchase them because Atmore is home to many fine shops that carry everything you need for the holiday.
With florists, gift shops and grocers right around the corner, a lack of romance is not something Valentine’s Day couples in Atmore have to worry about.
At Shannon’s Florist on Main Street, candy, balloons and roses can be found. Shannon Cooper, owner of Shannon’s Florist, said the most sold products from her business for Valentine’s Day are roses and tulips, but her staff will do any arrangement for their customers.
“We’ve got balloons, flowers and even balloons that sing,” Cooper said. “We can do a mixed cut of any type of flower.”
Other local flower shops include Atmore Florist and Godwin’s Florist.
Country Charms on Ridgeley Street has a variety of gift suggestions such as candles, jewelry, stuffed animals, purses and jewelry boxes. They also have wallets, knives, money clips, key chains, desk sets and many sports items for men.
Country Charms also has gift cards, which can even be used for framing.
Tracy Miller, owner of Jus Because on Highway 31, said her store is having a “Pick-A-Valentine” sale. Customers can grab a piece of chocolate out of a bag and will receive anywhere from 10 percent to 50 percent off all retail.
Jus Because also has massages, manicures and pedicures that range in prices. A gift card for one of these is an excellent Valentine’s Day idea.
Earle’s Jewelers owner Wayne Dunn said the jewelry store has many items in stock that would please a man or woman for the holiday including “Journey” pendants, “Circle of Love” necklaces and rings for women. For men, Earle’s carries bracelets, necklaces, tie tacks, money clips, toiletry bags and Alabama or Auburn glasses. But, the Fossil watches at Earle’s are a hot commodity, Dunn said.
Also, with a purchase of $99 or more, customers will receive a free gift at Earle’s.
Nancy's, Etc. is another one-stop shop for your Valentine's gifts.
There are many shops in Atmore to find the perfect gift ideas for your loved ones.
If you are short on time, area grocery or drug stores, including Winn Dixie, Southern Family Markets, Walgreens or Rite-Aid, have a variety of items that could make your sweetheart’s day perfect. And finding clothing is a breeze with The Tot Shop and Peebles in town.
Sharing these gifts over dinner could make your Valentine’s Day even better. There are many restaurants in town to take your sweetheart to make a good Valentine’s Day reach perfection.
