ThyssenKrupp offers local opportunities
With ThyssenKrupp beginning to settle in northeast Mobile County, Atmore area residents have the opportunity to start a new career with the steel company.
The TK facility in Mobile County will begin operation in 2010 and is supposed to create 2,700 jobs, which opens a plethora of opportunities for residents in the area.
TK is individually recruiting prospects for professional positions in many areas including manufacturing, engineering, logistics, information, technology, sales and marketing, accounting and finance and human resources.
Those seeking a position in production must complete and file applications by Friday for Alabama Industrial Development Training. AIDT is meant to help identify and train individuals who potentially could work at TK. The training must be completed in order to be considered for employment in operations or maintenance.
Those in training will not be paid, but the training is free.
The large amount of job opportunities TK will provide for south Alabama is astounding and for Atmore area residents interested in changing their careers, now is the time to do it.
Atmore residents need to reap the benefits of having TK placed so close and time is running out. So, if you are interested in a job opportunity with TK, now is the time to make your move.
All TK employment information can be found at www.mobilechamber.com. There are also links on the Mobile Chamber’s Web site which will lead jobseekers to the TK Web page and the AIDT’s Web page.
