Most people are all about receiving gifts on their anniversary, but employees at Atmore Vision Center are all about giving while celebrating six years of optometry.
The facility will host an anniversary celebration Friday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Atmore area residents who attend are in for a treat.
The Center will offer free vision screenings and 50 percent off most eyeglass frames on Friday.
The clown Overstreet refers to is “Jingles the Clown,” from Jingles and Friends of Mobile. This laughable creature will provide balloon art and face painting for children or maybe even adults from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Atmore Vision Center owner Dr. Steve Gross will be conducting the vision screenings during the anniversary celebration.
The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce will be on hand at 10 a.m. for a cake-cutting ceremony. The cake will be provided by Heavenly Delight. Also WNSI radio personalities will be available from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. for a live remote broadcast and throughout the day there will be light refreshments, punch and coffee served.
Those who opt for a free vision screening and then choose to purchase a pair of eyeglasses, most frames at 50 percent off, will receive a gift bag with their purchase.
The gift bags will include a cleaning cloth, lens cleaner, candy, an Atmore Vision Center coffee mug with a bag of coffee and an Atmore Vision Center chip clip. Easter bags will also be given to patients when they sign in for their appointment. Patients who purchase glasses will be given the opportunity to draw an Easter egg from a basket for a chance to receive one of the following, a beach towel, Safilo mugs, $10 off or no tax.
Everyone who attends the anniversary event will be eligible to enter their name in a drawing for a free pair of eyeglass frames.
Atmore Vision Center is located at 166 Lindberg Ave. For more information, call the Center at 368-8767.
